Hello everyone!
I wanted to share the project I've been working on. When I was first diagnosed, I scoured the internet looking for a safe place, and uplifting place, some source of information and proactive tips that would not scare the pants off me. I did not find it. (This was before I found this forum!)
So I decided to create it.
I spend a lot of time in bed, as many of us do. I have spent that time researching tirelessly on the days I can read, listening to podcasts on the days I can't. I held my breath and pushed past the fear, doom, gloom, and worst-case scenarios.
Please understand, I know that lyme is a very serious and very scary disease. I know that. I live with it, it's cost me two pregnancies, ground my life to a halt and put my brand new marriage on the wire. I am not trying to dismiss this or gloss over it. I just want to provide the option I was desperate for when I was first diagnosed.
But I need to stay positive, informed, vibrant and uplifted. So I started an Instagram feed called @from_lyme_to_emerald
There I post small, bite-sized bits of information, tips and tricks to help heal, detox, feel better, stay connected. It is my lyme journey, but without the scary stuff. It's a safe, bright, and uplifting place. I invite you all to join me there and follow along, if you're feeling up to it.
Much love,
Melina
