How long does it take for mold to get under control? I have been taking two antifungals, Amphotericin B and Lomisil, for three weeks now. I had to stop my antibiotics for treating the Lyme Disease and Babesia. I also have lead toxicity and methylation issues. The mold was almost gone from my tongue eliminated but suddenly started again. I have been experiencing an increase in chest tightness lately, which I was thinking was from the Babesia acting up since I have been off the antibiotics for two weeks. Can mold cause symptoms aside from the well known black tongue and GI issues? I am sorry for the long post. I am just feeling overwhelmed and tired from being sick. Thank you. 😊

Do you know what type of mold you are dealing with? I was diagnosed with a Tricothecene infection a year ago. I was on a compounded inhaler medicine containing Amphotericin and Mupericin, which seemed to be working after about eight weeks; then the pharmacy went out of business. after trying several oral meds, my LLND found another pharmacy that produced Mupericin in a spray format that is showing promise after about twelve weeks. My nausea is greatly diminished and the post nasal drip is reduced. Still way too much, but manageable.

The pharmacy is Hopkinton Pharmaceuticals in Hopkinton, MA.

I don't know what type it is. I do know it actually became worse with oral Diflucan and Nystatin. My doctor placed me on the Amphotericin B and Lomisil by mouth as a result. It was going away until yesterday and it became worse again. Ironically, I visited my doctor yesterday morning while my tongue looked pretty normal. She was about to take me off the Lomisil so I can start the Babesia medications again. I am going to call her this morning and inquire about the nose spray you are talking about. Thank you so much for your help.
