How do these antibiotic combinations address mold toxicity, candida (which if you are taking three at one time it will most likely destroy your gut flora and cause candida to run wild, numerous co-infections, viruses, mitochondrial dysfunction, detox issues, etc? I think it's wonderful that new research is being done to help push chronic Lyme to a new research plane, but I am always very skeptical of a "magic bullet" treatment.
Bartonella, Candida, Mold, all are opportunistic. Healthy people can be Bart positive and have absolutely no symptoms. HIV/AIDS patients can have horrific bart infections.
/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacillary_angiomatosisIt all comes down to the immune system. If your immune system is suppressed by Borrelia you will have problems even with Lactobacillus acidophilus, some people develop SIBO. You can also develop cancer, mutant cells are usually killed by the immune system and not grow to develop cancer.
AIDS people (before treatment was available) used to have a low life expectancy (9 years max) because of multiple types of cancer and opportunistic infections they would develop. HIV has never killed one single person with AIDS. Candida has.
Anything that grows will grow larger and out of control if there is no immune system to keep it in check.
So if u could just wipe out all Borrelia from a chronically ill person, that person's immune system will kick back in and will keep all these bugs in check. That is why they are all called
co-infections. They create problems because of Borrelia.
And heavy metals, etc.... they are a problem, but we lymies are so sensitive because our immune system is on the knife's edge. Tilt it a bit more and it will break. Several sleepless nights, a small cold, too much lead or mercury, and it's already losing the battle.... So a minor obstacle becomes a huge issue.
But if u remove the cause....
