Worried about my family

I feel like I'm in an alternate universe. I just can't make sense of all this...

I was diagnosed with Lyme in Aug 2015. I had positive IFA and IND Igenex western blot. Also have high metals, parasites, elevated viruses, myco pneum, low cd 57 (40).

My son got sick after vaccine in Fall 2015, and is now being treated for Lyme and chlamydia pneum (high IGG). He has a high CD 57 (190) and a negative Elispot test, but did have some bands on the western blot. The doctors are not positive it is Lyme, but are treating herbally just in case. He is 12 and never got sick from a vaccine before. This was a new one though - meningitis.

My middle daughter who eats REALLY well is low in 8 minerals and had a positive IGM elisa through labcorp, but blot showed only 41 and 58 on IGG. She has developed a lot of moles - some halo ones - and a good amount on her scalp (youngest has just started getting these too). She has an appt this week to get Igenex test done. I'm going to request other viruses and also parasite testing. Not sure what else could be causing her mineral derangement. Minerals are calcium, potassium, sodium, maganese, magnesium, chromium, cobalt and boron.

My youngest, who is the only one who had an actual tick on her 2 years ago, has very hot, red palms and feet, sensitive to hot temps, noise sensitivity. Liver checked out ok. Just this week she has developed some petechiae under her eyes (only about 5 spots) and had some on her neck/back (prob about 20). They do not blanch when I press on them.

Our whole family is high in Uranium from our well water. We are above the 95th percentile. The uranium level is considered under the EPA level, but obviously it is building up in us. We have lived here for 7 years. We have a good amount of genetic detox issues. My cats thyroid is in the tank now too.

Last week my husband was working from home in our bonus room (which is colder) and one of his toes went numb and turned white. Only one toe. It happened again when he was coaching basketball. This has never happened to him before. He also has a rash that comes and goes on his cheeks. I had a similar rash which was diagnosed as Rosacea but never came back after a few months of minocycline. My sons toe went numb this week and had color change too. I feel like I'm going crazy. WHAT is going on?? If I gave Lyme to the kids at birth, it seems strange that it would come out all at the same time. My gut says something else is at play here.

All of a sudden our health has went downhill. There must be a common cause, but I'm really getting tired of playing detective. Could it be our well water and the build up of uranium in our bodies from it? Or, possibly parasites from the water? I tested our house for mold and it came back ok. But I am in the house the most, and was the first one to get sick. My husband travels a lot so he's here the least.

We have decided to put our house up for sale and move closer to family. I know our problems will not leave by moving, but I think we need a fresh start. I pray we can figure out what is going on and fix it. If anyone has tips on tests we should undergo I am all ears.

Yes, we stopped drinking the water, but there's nothing I can do about the shower. I make the kids (and me) bathe in epsom/bentonite clay in hopes that it is soaking up the metals! My husband will not do it.

There doesn't appear to be a great method of removing Uranium since it is cleared through body quickly and stored in bones. I have read high dose calcium can eventually push it out, but I also think lots of calcium may not be good for you. I'm going to get a sauna once we move. Possibly do some rounds of DMSA under the care of a doctor for the kids. Just have to find a good pediatric doc.

I have also read that showering may be worse than drinking the water. When you drink, at least your body has natural filtration in place. Showering bypasses all that and is absorbed through skin.

I have done some biltricide/tinidazole but I know that doesn't hit all my parasites. On my last CBC I was on Tinidazole and my EOS abs was high. I have read that can indicate parasites. I did buy paragone for me but I am taking so much stuff right now I didn't think it would be wise to add it in. I'm contemplating taking a month off abx/herbs to do a parasite cleanse and a few rounds of DMSA chelation. I'm nervous about backsliding though...

I think I will try the kid version of paragone for my middle daughter and see what happens. Would like to test her first to see what we're dealing with.

It's all so complicated!

Do they make a good enough shower filter for uranium? I know when I lived where there was a well, I had a shower filter because the well water made my hair orangish from the abundance of iron. I got a shower filter.

While they are drawing blood, I will have them run ANA just in case. I think that's the test for Lupus?

Everything being mentioned here could be caused by Lyme too - well, except the high uranium. The other symptoms all can be attributed to tick-borne infections though. Even the lupus like rash. If you believe you have a good LLMD, I would bring all of this to their attention. They may be willing to treat your entire family, or at least can shed some light on some of this for you.

I'm so sorry that you don't have a good LLMD near you now. I hope that you can move soon so that you can continue to pursue this and get to the bottom of it soon.

I just want to say that you don't have to be positive on both IGG and IGM. Why is that a "but only"? If it's a positive IGM, it's a positive IGM. I didn't have a positive IGG and I certainly have lyme.
