Metronidazole & Erythromycin

I have just been diagnosed above for an ongoing ear infection. Doctor did swab tests recently and anaerobic and staph bacteria have been found in my ear. I am hoping to feel better with the Metronidazole in particular as they are spirochete cyst busters I believe. Anyone any experience of the above two combined.

Hello Sarah, I am in UK and have had many blood tests done, always say negative for Lyme but have to have my ANA done every three months, its always borderine. I have been ill for years, I lived in Germany for 10 years and about 5 years ago I started with bizarre symptoms - I used to go walking in the forest every day - it was full of wild deer. Anyway this particular morning I woke with the most awful rigid jaw and jaw pain and this lasted weeks and was extremely painful - from then I have never been symptom free. I have had the awful rage, dizziness and heart racing when standing, excruciating tooth pain, fingers tingling and sore in the mornings. Slurring, TMJ, awful brain fag and fatigue plus many more symptoms. This past two months I have had a really bad ear infection and my local GP has prescribed these, 500mg Erythro X4 per day (for 7 days) and 400mg Metronidazole X3 per day (for 5 days). I have been taking oil of oregano for the last 4 days and hoped that would improve my staph ear infection but it has spread to my eyes and nose and is really bad so I am starting the meds and will just have to hope I don't herx badly. I can't go on the way I am so have to try them whatever the outcome. I have ordered CPD oil and once I have taken these meds I will start on the CPD and see what that does for me.

Whoops Girlie, I mean CBD Oil !

Yes I know exactly what you mean, my CBD oil should be here within a day or so, I see on the tracking it is already in UK. I won't start taking it though until 48 hours after the abx, which should be next Thursday, all being well. I have bought Pinella tincture and have grapefruit seed extract from Nutribiotics on way but won't try them until have tried CBD oil, am really excited about trying that. Got an email from Ernie Murakami asking me to let him know how I go with the CBD Oil too. Let me know how you go with it when you start taking it too please.

I emailed him, I think I found his email address on his FB page, he replied within the hour, I was so impressed with that. I wasn't sure I would even get a reply, I have emailed him a couple of times and each time he comes back very quickly. I really can't wait to get started on that.

Mine has still not arrived, according to the courier tracker information it is in the UK with the expedition courier, it arrived in Heathrow on Sunday so I am really expecting delivery to be today ... I live 20 minutes from Heathrow airport, should have arrived before now !

I got mine from Fort Lauderdale, as recommended by Dr Murakami and he advised one grain of rice under the tongue twice daily and then to let him know how I am after doing that for two weeks. Once it arrives I will open it and see what its like ... looks like a tincture bottle online but guessing it must be a paste type otherwise the measurements he gives would be in drops and not 'grains of rice'

Thanks Sarah, don't know of any UK members specifically, maybe I should start a topic on asking who is from UK - as far as I know there are no LLMD's here in UK ?? My Doctors look at me as if I am insane when I say I think I may have Lyme :(

I believe my ear problem is lyme related too. I have had ear problems on and off for years, since I started feeling ill really. Ringing in the ears, sore ears, noise sensitivity and pain inside the ears, but since the start of this year it has changed and I have had a lot of discharge coming from the ears during my sleep and crusty weeping sores (sorry TMI) inside them, the left ear has not been as bad but the right ear and now left nostril and eyelid are the same too. Started the medication yesterday afternoon so will have to see how my body reacts to this. Have stopped all my herbal supplements while taking the abx except for a B complex and pro biotics.
