So really struggling with depression and anxiety. Difficult to function. Have no real body pains, just achy legs. Now thinking this has nothing to do with Lyme and co's. Had to stop work this week. Can't think, organize, can't follow conversation very well, and feel like I have dementia, tremors, insomnia. Now going to Psychiatrist and will try meds (more antidepressants) which I usually don't tolerate very well, and seeing a therapist for a while now. My seritonin level is very low. I feel like I just crash when there is some stress in my life. I suppose it's never one thing. Was working with a Lyme practitioner since spring and doing a lot of herbs, some antibiotics, and just can't anymore, but still seeing LLMD and on Minocycline for Bartinella. Muscle tested pos for Lyme this week and have more bloods.

Why don't you think it has to do with Lyme and co's?
Those symptoms certainly are Lyme/Bart symptoms.

Is your LLMD planning on adding something to the minocycline to treat Bartonella? That alone won't do it. Are you taking Bart herbs?


Sorry you're having rough times - hang in there - are you doing enough to detox?

Thanks you for your reply, Girlie, I'm so depressed and down I feel like I have my feet in cement right now. I know I just can't wait for a medication to help, but hoping it will when I get on something. I was on a low dose antidepressant and stopped this fall. I will never to do that again. I'm so anxious that more antibiotics will really put me over the edge as I'm hanging on by a thread. It's hard to read, concentrate, make myself go out for a walk, cook, detox, and think without ruminating right now. This is so horrible. I almost wish I had the physical discomfort and not have my brain taken away. Attitude and will heal so much and I just don't have it right now…ugh.

What do you mean when you say, you were on a low dose antidepressant but will never try that again? I definitely think you have lyme/coinfections, and need to pursue treatment for that, but some of us need the support of an antidepressant/antianxiety medication as well. There is no shame to taking whatever it takes to help you feel better. As far as detoxing, I have found that the Jernigan's neuro-antitoxin plus molybdenum has helped, also the Cowden pinella/burbur/mapalo. Let me know if I can help further.

I meant that this has happened to me before. I went on antidepressants then went off when feeling better, don't think I can do that again. I took pinella a few years back and also had a crash from it along with other herbs with a different Lyme practitioner. It's been a long road and right now Im struggling with doing so much. It's hard to understand how the brain can confuse you and can only see the world through a depressive state? So to try and help yourself almost becomes a vicious cycle, when you feel like you can't and you are really the only one that can help shift it. Hoping meds will help soon. Even typing this is hard. But this forum is a wonderful connection to those who understand.
