Help with CD57 Results

Could someone help me by explaining what this CD56 test result means.

We are in NZ but had this test done in Australia through of Lyme doc there.

Hi Shepo,

Can i take a stab in the dark and say that those tests were done at Clinipath?

Im trying to find others who used Aussie labs for their CD57 results to compare.

Mine are similar to yours, but with a slightly lower reading.

Will be interested myself, to see other Lyme positive members give their opinion on your results. As well as any Aussies who did their CD57 in Australia, what their results say.

There aren't many posts on the net from Aussies with a CD57 result performed in Australia.

The test was done by the normal diagnostic labs that everyone uses for all the normal blood tests in australia. The invoice came from Douglas Manly Moir Pathology not sure about anything else. It stated on the test results that the range was between 30 and 370 so from that I take it that Cassie is at the low end where people with Lyme usually sit, and a lot of people are lower. We will have to have my daughter tested again after she has been on treatment for a far while.

Clinipath forwards theirs to Douglas Manly Moir Pathology. I rang them and asked about this.

My reference range has 730 as the upper range though.

Let's see if any others can chime in :-)

I have been unwell forever & living under the banner of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome until yesterday when a Dr told me I have Lyme disease. Blood tests showed my CD57 level was 50. confused

I currently live in Perth, Australia.

My doctor just said to me, "your CD57 count is 30." I didn't have to read the test results myself. I asked him what my CD57 should be. He said between 60-260, although 200-260 is the optimum range to be in. He said a CD57 of 30 strongly indicates chronic Lyme disease.

Hi Tarotchick, do you happen to see Dr. Hugh Derham, or is there another lyme literate doctor in Perth I don't know about?

I am from Sydney getting treated at Dr P D how are you doing now ??My doc never did my cd57 saying these tests are unreliable????
