Hello,
I'm not sure if anyone remembers me, but I first wrote back in Oct. about
my eleven-year-old daughter. At that time, she was just diagnosed with late stages of Lyme. Three months on antibiotics almost put her in a wheelchair. Every day she got worse. We took her off them and never looked back.
I want to thank the person that sent me an email me telling me about
The Hansa Center in Kansas. At the beginning of December, we packed our car and drove West. What should have been a one-day road trip turned into a three-day drive. Her car sickness was so bad that she could not handle more than five hours in the car.
Our experience at Hansa was beyond words. Unquestionably incredible! We saw Dr. Jowdy he is amazing!!! The perfect doctor for my daughter's personality and fabulous in his expertise as a biological doctor. I can't say enough good about
him. After two weeks at the center, he had our daughter at least 75% better in the areas he worked on. We no longer have to carry her up the stairs to bed, and the crutches she had to use before she got there, have not been looked at since.
Of course, there were a few bumps in the road after we returned home. But that is to be expected. I also want to say that one call to the Hansa Center and Dr. Jowdy returned my call and added in another remedy. As many of us know Lyme disease is peeling one layer at a time. Until eventually there are no more layers. Will return to the Hansa Center in the summer for a follow-up.
I want to take a minute to elaborate on the bump in the road. My daughter's migraines and eye pain recently have been becoming worse than ever again. Out of school more than in! So I did what I know best~~ praying and praying some more. That day I feel another prayer was answered. I came across information about
Functional Chiropractic Neurology. I had never heard of this before. I found out there are only 600 of them certified in the US. I found one in our state and left a message. The owner called me back and spent an hour on the phone with me. He got her in immediately. He spent 2 hours with her on the initial neurological consultation and then another 2 hours with my husband and I the VERY NEXT DAY. The day after that he started physical therapies with her.
We learned that a past concussion (from 5 years before diagnosis) might be one of the pathways that
opened the door for her Lyme disease to become active thus increasing the severity of her neuro Lyme disease over the past years. What we found out during his neurological testing was alarming. Three areas of her brain are not communicating with her body. So much more too~~just too much to put in this message. FYI ~~he is 100% on track with what the Hansa Center is recommending. As well as doing his area of expertise in the neurological aspect.
He has an amazing physical therapist that works for him. After only three weeks of therapy most days, my daughter is a headache free, the vertigo is becoming less every day, eye pain decreased by 75%, fewer eye hallucinations, less flashing lights and fewer floats. And on an on
He accepts insurance-- as we all know that is a bonus ;~)
Because she is responding so well starting next week, we are going to start intensives for one week. She will go four times a day for five days. They are expecting amazing results as are we. Unfortunately, insurance will not pay for this part of her treatment (that is not a surprise), however with the improvement we see how can we say no.
I highly recommend anyone with Lyme that had been in any type of accident before or after, being diagnosed with Lyme that you consider looking into treatment through Functional Chiropractic Neurology. Here is a link to the website that will show you certified ones in your area. https://www.acnb.org

There is one in our community - and looking it over - this is something I could really benefit from down the line. For now, deal with the bacterial infection first, put my resources there. Looks fabulous.

Wow, very interesting. Thanks for posting this info and I am so glad your daughter is benefiting from this treatment. The llnd said she thinks I have had lyme since I was little. Interesting enough I was in an accident which fractured my neck and I had several cuts to my head when I was little. I started having migraines after this incident for years. They finally were helped with the addition of thyroid meds, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos at 9. The llnd also believes that the hashimotos was triggered by the lyme.

I am talking with a Functional Chiropractic dr. Here in PA. He has been a blessing. We are waiting for the '23andme' test before starting treatment although he did order extensive blood work and advised on a couple of supplements. I am anxious to meet him in person.
I am thrilled your daughter is getting the help she needs. It takes courage and perseverence to beat this disease. Many blessings.

Charlie, you asked for this!
Again, I could bump up another 20 success stories. I'm still in touch with many of these people privately and they are doing great!
