Biotin is normally produced by bacteria in the GI tract. If you have a severe dysbiosis, then you may not be making enough or may not be absorbing the biotin that you are eating. Biotin is a substrate for multiple reactions in the body. If you are struggling with your health like many of us, than you are most likely deficient of vital ingredients to proper health. Biotin could be one of them, molybdenum, manganese, lithium, magnesium, boron, selenium, and there are many more that you may be deficient of.
I'm a math guy so I think of it in math terms. 2 + 2 = 4. You have to add 2 plus 2 to get 4 where four is proper health. What if your body works just like this. You have the first 2, but you are missing the second 2 and therefore you will not get 4. That second two that you are missing is nutrients, or substrates, or vitamins, or enzymes, it's something tangible.
As for natural antifungals, I really like nigella sativa seeds. They taste like oregano and really pack a punch.
