So I'm listening to Dr. Lee Cowden. Wow. Amazing interview and it's only the first one. He's talking about how the borrellia can switch on and off the host dna and also 'join' with the dna of any other bacteria. Ugh.

And when they join genetically with other bacteria it becomes a whole 'nother form of bacteria. He says it can join with antibiotic resistant bugs (like mrsa) and then become resistant itself! It can also switch our genes on and off and make us resistant to an antibiotic.


The interviewer asks what hope is there for this?

Dr. Cowden says lots of hope with natural therapies. He says the more species of herbal antimicrobials that you take, the less chance the borellia has to become resistant to those agents.

Dark field microscopy with cats claw showed blood stream swarming with babs, bart, lyme but after 12 days of cats claw much reduced in blood stream. Then 2 wks later no microbes found in blood but found in crushed red cells. 10 weeks of cats claws they found no microbes in the red cells. Said it takes about 18 weeks to get the antimicrobials into the joint, brain, etc cells.

Next the interviewer asks about dosing: go slow and work up, or pulse or?

A: references study pilot lyme study dallas 2003

Looked at these dosing questions. Findings were certain products were essential: drainage remedies essential to help get rid of toxins and cell 'poop'. Magnesium was essential even though some people say mg++ feeds biofilm production. He says pts. can't get well without mg++ so you just deal with the biofilm while you give mg++. You have to bind metals as they stim. the bugs to grow.

You have to have enough days on AMAS (antimicrobial agents)to kill the bugs and enough time off for the bugs to come out of hiding. He likes pulsing.

Any continuous AMAS (herbs or pharm) bugs will just come out and repopulate the host when the AMAs are stopped.

12 to 12 1/2days ON therapy and 1 1/2 to 2 days off therapy.

Longer than 48 hrs off then the herx too bad.

Less than 12 days on isn't enough to kill the 'new crop' of bugs that have come out of hiding.

Q: what misconceptions are there

A: lyme is most places not the northeast only. Bullseye rash only 50%. Elisa and western blot tests were intended for research ONLY never meant to be tests for treatment of illness. CDC says to find some other way to diagnose it. He says pcr test shows rising levels then there you go.

also transmitted by mosquitos, lice. and sexual intercourse via semen, vag. secretions, saliva. Proven live borellia in the blood banks and no screening for that. CDC says no evidence that transmitted to another pt receiving the blood transfusion. He say "what planet are they on!" States to take immune boosting AMAs should be taken after receiving a blood transfusion. If you think you've been exposed, take some stuff don't wait for symptoms.

talks about all the other microbes gotten along with borellia.

Misconception that short course of ABs is enough. Serious harm to people from this.

States PTLDS is 'hogwash'. IDSA is 'criminal' to say such a thing and they've been told by a judge to rewrite their report and they still haven't done this properly. And doctors believe the IDSA recommdations are the gold standard when they're garbage.

Then talks about ABs killing off good bacteria and fungal illness from this can be worse then the lyme disease in the first place.

Q: toxicity. What role does this and detox play in getting well?

A: Huge. Must detoxify heavy metals, pesticides, biotoxins or when the AMAs are finished the remaining bugs can more easily repopulate. White cells don't do well in areas of toxicity but pathogens love it.

Get mercury fillings out as everytime you chew you release mercury into the body, the ADA holds the patent for mercury amalgam fillings and gets paid everytime someone gets a filling. Says if the ADA admitted how toxic these fillings are, you'd see the largest class action lawsuit in US history and they'd be out of business.

Study with Dr. Horowitz 70%lyme pts. get better with natural tx. herbals, metal binders. what to do for 30%? Biggest issue keeping people sick were mercury amalgam fillings. Some didn't eat right or drink enough water and were exposed to emf.

After fillings removed and metals detoxed % went to 85% improved.

He like 'energy testing' but didn't say what.

Q: talk about CCSVI research (?)

A: Study of MS pts. had narrowing of jugular veins. Got better with angioplasty but then had recurrence. Dr. Klinghardt noted his lyme neuroborelliosis pts had same narrowing of jugular veins and this shows up with doppler. Some also had plaques on brain scans. They all had red or white 'hot' streaks going up their necks on imaging. The germs (borell, bart, babs) were inside the jugular veins causing inflammation and scarring which caused eventual slowing or stopping of the blood flow out of the brain into the chest which was causing a back pressure in the brain. (WOW, headaches anyone? tb)This also puts at risk of MS.

Pts given herbal AMAs and some drainage remedies. Shone a infrared light over the jugular veins x 30min after AMAs. 4 months great improvement, streaks gone. Says can reverse MS in a lot of pts by doing this.

Listening to Cowden and only about 13 minutes into it and this is so very informative. So many species of each of the co-infections. You honestly do not know what you will get. If you just get Borellia a group of people will all have diverse conditions. I found this statement to be eye opening.

Where ever there is an accumulation of physical toxins that is where the borellia will hang out. They will thrive here because the white blood cells can't get in there and do anything about the Borellia.

And now you know the Huge Powerful Reason for DETOXING!

I am re-reading parts of Buhner's new Lyme book (too technical for me to absorb in my earlier days with these infections). He explained this eye-opening fact as well.

It worries the crap out of me when she is sneaky and finds odd things to eat though...ughhh :/
