So you had 41 & 66. The test looks like labcorp or quest, which they leave off bands 31 & 34 and they are lyme specific. What symptoms do you have? I think if you went to a LLMD they would want to test you through IGeneX.

Also, I initially tested my kids through labcorp to see if they had any bands that would warrant further testing. Plus insurance covered it. My son had 41 & 66. So I then tested him through IGeneX and he showed 18, 31 ind, 39 ind, 41, 58. Just to give you an idea on how his results varied.

Yeah it was a LabCorp test. There are no 31 & 34 bands on this test, you're right. I have foggy thinking, anxiety, muscular pains, heart palpitations, concentration issues, shooting pains in my arms, knee pain, difficulty speaking, mood swings, malaise, weird odors and tastes, and depression, at one point I was told I have clinical depression by my counselor. I was hospitalized and treated for schizophrenia last summer. I am currently looking for a LLMD in my area. My PCP wants me to see a psychiatrist but I'm thinking I should see a LLMD before I go to anyone else, agreed?

I agree that an LLMD would be a better place to start. Lyme & co can cause a lot of mental stuff.

I totally agree on a LLMD. Do not waste your time or money on any other doctor.

hooligan - You were searching for a LLMD...did you get some names?
Yes, start with a LLMD.
Regarding the Igenex Lyme WB - you can do the test and have the results ready for your first appointment...or you can wait until your first appointment and have your LLMD sign the lab req.
If you want to do the test while you wait for your first appointment, just call Igenex and order the test kit...take it to a Dr. to sign the lab req.
The best bang for your buck is the Lyme WB Igm and IgG for $210.
Good luck!

I saw your thread looking for a LLMD and have bumped it back up. Not all members are on daily, so hopefully someone will be on in the next day or two to give you recommendations.
What about ILADS? Did you hear back from them yet? (The Physician Referral)

hooligan_5,
Like k07's son, I too had positives for IGG bands 41 & 66 thru Quest. After 4 weeks of treatment, I tested thru IgeneX, and got IGM 41 & 66 and IGG 31/39 IND & 41.
I have been told that standard local labs are not as reliable. My LLMD started treatment with the 41&66 showing. He said not positive, but doesn't mean I don't have Lyme.

Girlie - thank you! I have heard back from them they just asked me for my location and I responded back.
Beeperoni - I will definitely be seeing a LLMD shortly and then testing through IGeneX. Thank you for the feedback, makes me feel better!
