My first symptoms were in my gut and I was originally diagnosed with Leaky Gut. I had severe digestive issues while in treatment and to some extent I still have them but nothing as bad as it was. I take a digestive enzyme at every meal and that has helped. I had a lot of food allergies and intolerances and got tested for the allergies and was quite surprised at the results. After cutting those foods out, my stomach healed enough for me to be able to figure out the intolerances. It took a while, but slowly my gut healed and I felt better. Try to eat as clean as you can, no processed foods and purchase the highest quality organic that you can afford. Collagen, L-glutamine, aloe, and tumeric all helped with the inflammation in my gut. I also take diatamaceous earth every day and if my gut acts up, before going to bed I take a teaspoon of calcium bentonite clay with a large glass of water and that usually clears things up by morning. I don't have issue with wheat unless it's GMO wheat, so if I do consume any wheat products, I make sure they are organic and GMO free, although I keep my grain based carbs to a minimum.
Hope this gives you some things to consider and you get to feeling better. I believe Lyme hits you where you are the weakest and I've always had a weak tummy so I wasn't surprised.
