Yeah, back when the idiot MDs were giving me script
after script
of abx for my FUNGAL sinusitis and bronchitis, they were also prescribing steroids. I was SOOO SICK after they were done with me--and too sick to really understand or question it. And back then, I basically knew nothing about
lyme.
Thankfully, I got so fed up with not getting past the infections and was reading about
sinus infections online and came across a "the infection can reach the brain and kill you" kind of article and it all finally clicked that there was something wrong with the diagnosis. I eventually figured out it was a fungal infection (and I ordered antifungals from a British pharmacy without an Rx... took 2 doses of the anti fungal and was mostly cured). Idiots.
But also what happened was that all the abx prescribed to me (many of which are also prescribed for lyme & co) were stirring up herxes and all the steroids were suppressing my immune system and it was like these idiot MDs were literally trying to kill me. On the other hand, the abx brought on very obvious lyme & co symptoms (with all the herxing) and when I googled all the symptoms, it was pretty clear I had lyme & co and that's when I found an LLMD. The rest is history.
This reminds me, I need to carefully and politely describe this situation to them and send them a letter. I'm sure most will see this as futile but, how else will they learn?
BTW -
I posted another blog of hers - she interviewed her LLMD in CT - a great guy and he shared his perspectives on the connection between lyme & MS and how, a long time ago, MS was considered an infectious (microbial) disease. But once the "autoimmune" trend became popular in modern times and the pharmaceutical industry started developing immune suppressants that were effective in reducing MS symptoms, it was reclassified as an immune disease.......... what does this tell ya? Here's the thread that has the article links in it (I believe the MS conversation was in Part I) - I forwarded it to an MS friend, we'll see how he responds.
