I'm sorry for loving my husband!

I married a Mexican guy named Jesus! He doesn't have Lyme, but my mom does and I probably do also. I'm sorry that my DISPLAY name offends someone. When I signed up I had to choose a user name, a display name, a password etc. I actually thought my user name was the name I'd be 'using' on here...anyway, SO sorry if my display name offends you!

no sarcasm at all...am sorry none-the-less! Other people have made the same comment about being sorry but they weren't accused of sarcasm.

People get offended alot on here, I see. Im sorry about that, but being sorry doesnt meant I have to change my own name(s)

I just want to be accepted like everyone else.

funny i joined a lifegroup (bible study) run by a couple at church and the guy's name is Jesus. not pronounced like The Jesus but the first week i showed up she was calling her husband from another part of the house using The Jesus pronunciation and i was like is that really how he pronounces his name? i thought they were having a go at me but i found out she sometimes likes to joke with him by doing that.

I don't think it is anything to joke about. I am a devout Catholic, but am Humble about it. Although I do mention faith and prayer on occasion here, bc it is what helped me thru my illness. Since your forum name has such religious significance, it does bother people. The forum moderators are on here voluntarily, and they devote alot of time to help others. It is important to be considerate of them and their rules. And no, people do not get offended alot on here - this past week has just been "one of those weeks".

If you were sincerely worried about offending people, you would not have made that your forum name, or if you were sincerely confused btwn a display name and a username, you would have changed it.

I am not trying to make this thread any more argumentive, just wanted to mention those few points.

I agree with cd. I don't think asking you to change your name is offending to your beliefs, but it would at least show your respect of others that may not share your beliefs. While I am not offended, I however did think about how others would feel
seeing your name when I first saw it.

Also if you realized your mishap when signing up as you stated, then you should be more than willing to change it to what was initially intended.

But the name refers to my husband!
