Do guys have or had C-reactive protein (CRP elevation). I don't have it so my doc thinks no lyme. Can't wait to get tested.

It's not that simple....not everyone will have the elevation...in fact many, many lyme patients have lab tests showing nothing...

No elevated CRP either.

My CRP levels have been off the charts since before I was diagnosed.....they went down for a little bit and then spiked again. I don't know where they are now but will find out at my next ND appointment.

I think it's different for everyone....plus all of my levels, don't know about anyone else, have been all over the charts for just about everything!

I never saw crp on any of my labs. But I did have sed rate last year. Similar? My sed rate was double the maximum level.

For what i understand the SED is used for inflammation too. anybody else with some info on this topic?

very interesting, I had my C reaction protein levels checked NUMEROUS times in the last month, every time it was normal!

I believe mine was tested only after treatment started...although I was still very symptomatic at the time.

Well, saw my regular GP today...and she is the Queen of tests. She gave me a lab req...I don't think I will have any blood left in me after this.

One of the tests is CRP - along with several others (including ANA) - I guess she's seeing if I'v developed an autoimmune condition.

Just got my results CRP normal, but I don't even know if I have Lyme yet just assumptions. lol
