Hey everyone,

I've been trying just about everything since my official diagnosis via ELISA and Western Blot last autumn. I believe I have been infected for about nine years total.

Some good news: I began Pulsed Electro Magnetic Frequency treatment and it is working. I'm experiencing a very classic Herx reaction, but the Herx is easing up and I am helping with daily detox baths and weekly lymphatic drainage massage.

I am on Abx and have been since January, and while I saw some significant improvement, I do not relish the idea of being on such a hardcore Abx treatment for a long, long time. I will if I have to, but I'd rather not. Besides, the Abx reached a plateau- my neuro symptoms were not improving at all. From what I gather, the spirochetes can ball up into their cyst form when they feel the attack of Abx. The PEMF treatment can kill Borrelia in their round body form where Abx has a harder time. That's why I think the combination is helping me.

If anyone has any experience with PEMF I'd love to hear it. If anyone has any questions that I might be able to answer, fire away. It's a rather uncomfortable process but I am able to turn the dial up or down based on what I can handle during that day.

I was doing PEMF tx with the PAR med machine and a magnawave machine...I am sure it helped and had I known what I had I could be better now I think. I was doing those and to my understanding it puts oxygen into your body almost like a hyperbaric oxygen tx does and of course that will kill these things....anyway I didn't know I had lyme..I just know I was going to and ND and laying on this mat and continued to get worse and worse and couldn't understand..He was "repairing my cells" he said with the maching....the first few weeks I did great...I was detoxing well all kinds of stuff coming out of my lungs ears ...private parts etc..then it stopped.....I knew nothing about detox...so I think I was killing...killing...killing and not detoxing and just got sicker and sicker.......travelor has been helping me with detox and right now...I am just trying to get strong and get rid of some of these built up toxins......I do believe it works though

Not sure what coinfections but have hot burning tingling pain inside and out.....reynauds, levida reticularis, hypothyroid adrenal fatigue...lots of swelling in face and legs and feet for sure...I am sure I have candida, muscle twitching, hair loss, altered sensations through out my body.....I sometimes have joint pain..but rarely..that comes and goes..I do have neck pain 8 brain lesion....air hunger .. I feel like a band around my belly at times....

I just want to get better....I thank God everyday that I am as functional as I am....although I am miserable cant concentrate...remember...or stay on task very well......I will get better though one way or another...


I am working with a girl now with biomagnetic therapy and she is trying to help balance out my body

Carla, I have the band around my belly sensation as well! Sorry you are experiencing that but it helps me to know I'm not alone in that. I also have many of the other sensations you mentioned.

I think some one said it is babesia...I also have the cat scratch fever...everytime I touch something it leaves a mark..I try and be positive..but sometimes I look at my body and get overwhelmed...thinking there is so much wrong...gut...circulation...brain....oh and my nails curl under like they are digging in my skin.....I think can the body really repair from all of this..that is when my anxiety kicks in...but at least now...I know pretty much what is wrong and can maybe treat it better than I have been for the last 2 years.....Im just ready to be well

I like your blog. Your Lyme journey includes so many more camera pixels than mine. Glad you're documenting it like this though.

I have a basic PEMF coil and it does do something, making the area I use it over tingle and I do need to detox some. It runs at 100hz, most general purpose PEMF systems run at frequencies between 10-100hz.

The Doug Coil is a PEMF machine that was built specifically to kill Lyme and many have achieved remission using it. The difference is that it can run at specific frequencies and this is what appears to be necessary to directly kill particular bacteria. 612hz is an example of a Borrelia killing frequency with the Doug Coil.

So the question I have been wondering about is what do these non-specific frequencies in general purpose PEMF and other frequency machines really accomplish? I'm not convinced that they have a direct bactericidal effect. It may be that they stimulate blood flow and cellular processes that has an indirect effect of killing bacteria.

There is also evidence that these types of frequencies may disrupt biofilm so that could also liberate bacteria that are then killed by the immune system.

PEMF and other frequency devices have great promise but all reports of remission I'm aware of have been achieved using frequencies specific to a person's bacteria strains. They presumably work by killing them through sympathetic resonance.

Hi Project,

I wish I could give you a good answer, but the truth is, I have been wondering the same thing myself. At the neuropathy center where I get my PEMF treatment, they refer to it as 'cellular exercise.' Apparently the cell wall contracts, sponging out, if you will, the toxins inside. Whether or not the actual waves are destroying the actual Borrelia, I don't know. I can only hope!

I do know that as soon as they dial it up, all my 'bad' areas (eyes, joints, left side) start to ache, which I'm told is a good thing- that's where the damaged cells are and they are being targeted.

I know my scientist mom would cringe at how vague I'm being! All I know is, i keep being able to tolerate higher and higher frequencies, my Herx is dying down and I'm beginning to see some improvements. Although, Lyme symptoms are so migratory, it's hard to tell which symptoms are simply 'on vacation' for the moment.
