Cowden protocol

Hi everyone,

I've been on Cowden for about 4 months now. I tested positive for Babs, but they never tested me for bart. My symptoms have been muscles in the legs get very sore especially when I work out or walk 18 holes of golf, heart flutter, and occasional pain in the back of my head. Since on Cowden I don't have anymore heart flutter, I do have the leg pain still and recently for the last week my Lymph nodes in my neck feel swollen and sometimes around the Thyroid. The swelling or weird feeling kind of moves. In the morning it's more near your thyroid, the afternoon it's closer toward the very bottom of the neck almost upper part of the chest, and at night it seems more on the sides of the neck. I wake up in the morning and I'm usually good for about 15 minutes. I've always thought I had bartonella and going to the LLMD who diagnosed me with Babs last year. Ever since I went on treatment whether it was antibiotics for babs or Cowden my legs feel more like it's in the nerves (more toward calves and shins). I also get twitching after I work out in the legs / tingley. Sometimes even in the feet I get a little tingle which I know is a Bart one.

Any thoughts? :)

You mention both Bart and Babs, but your symptoms could also be from Lyme. Have you been treated for Lyme or at least been evaluated for Lyme as well? Just trying to cover all bases.

The swelling that moves around your head/neck area, could be swollen lymph nodes - they are all over your body and are particularly concentrated around the head & neck area. You can see them here for the head & neck area: www.nhlcyberfamily.org/nodes.htm They are the yellow things in this picture.

Are you taking anything to help clear the lymph nodes? What about your detoxing routines? Particularly anything that might be helping the lymph nodes/system like lymph massages?

It definitely sounds like you have more than Babesia going on though.

You're body may just be able to keep up with the detoxing needs. Not everyone will herx, only those with compromised detox pathways, or just too high of a bacterial/parasite load for their body to handle.

I agree with the red root. It's a good one to start with, along with the Lyme massages.
