Yes, ..........me, for 20 years. You get used to it, not really a choice. My body pain would go in cycles reflected by how much exercise I got beforehand. I had very deep pain muscle pain , down to the bone not "surface pain" like fibros have.
I see your a new member, so might not have read my posts of relieving muscle pain before. I wrote many in a couple years, but dont remember the post titles to search.
What helped relive my muscle and tendon pain was Active release, triggerpoint release, and myofacial release. They are all different ways to increase circulation through the means of external pressure "melting" hard knots/areas of limited circulation. These areas can affect complete limbs if upstream nerves are pinched from tight muscles, called "referred pain".
Active release really needs another person involved, triggerpoint or the larger area myofacial release can be achieved on your own with some creativity. I use/ lay / roll on sports balls of various sizes (golf, La Cross, big super ball). Tennis balls are to soft and dont do much. You can google this stuff on u-tube.
For calves I roll on a 3 foot hard foam roller for maintenance and use the end of a thera cane to loosen them, yes it can "hurt so good.". Having a massage therapist work on your calves is painful, but feels great after. I would suggest a strong massage person (a lightweight wont help much). Light touch "feel good" massages are a waist of time and $ on hard calf muscles - wont do a thing.
I did this before my year on ABX, and still do after, just less of it needed. Its great to learn and one can use it their whole life.
