Hi dacarte3 -
Sorry you crashed - that can be very tough.
When I think of crashing, for me it's unrelenting, unmitigated, unmanageable exhaustion. I'm barely even aware of other symptoms—I'm nearly passed out. For me, this has always indicated my immune system is overwhelmed, likely due to a spiking viral load. I up the antivirals, allow my body to sleep it off and I can usually recover in a few days.
Until bart…
It took nearly 2 yrs but I was finally able to associate a surge in bart herxing whenever I took Byron White A-Bart that included severe GI attacks (that would send me to the ER). I was so thrilled to finally make that connection after suffering those horrible attacks for nearly 2 yrs. But this most recent attack really kicked me out and it took nearly 4 WEEKS to recover from this one—scary.
So, you can crash for several reasons but the result is your immune system just gets overwhelmed - we're not healing from our treatments, abx, herbs alone. Our immune system also has to be a big catalyst in our healing.
When you crash like that it's a sign that you're stirring up the infection faster than you can kill it, or you're killing it faster than you can detox the dead debris and toxins… So you need to consider if you:
- have new infections you're not treating (for me, it was always a viral surge and I've noticed few LLMDs are checking for viruses before starting treatment)
- need to slow down the antibiotics/herbs to allow your immune system and detox functions to catch up
- or just slow down and allow your body to recover
- or need to increase detox
- or all of the above. ;)
