Hi!

I am in bad condition lately, also a bit scared.
I got a gut infection half a year ago (campylobacter) and then I experienced a set of new symptoms besides my "regular" lyme symptoms.
Slowly I was able to resolve them with AB, time, vitamins, and so on, but since then they sometimes return and I don't get it, why? Campylobacter does not really persist, but the symptoms are not my regular symptoms too.
They flare-up surprisingly when I want to have my root canal treated tooth filled. Finally I have this tooth extracted, but this week I had am endoscopy by my gastroenterologist and he took samples from the stomach and gut. From this day this set of symptoms also returned and I am in a very bad shape.
So, what are these symptoms:
- starts with chest pressure like tighten your chest and air hunger. This wax and wane, and is strong for about an hour and decreases, and later increases again
- generall weakness, and sick feeling
- stabbing pain all over, and a feeling that bacteria is spread all over my body
- episodes of high pulse
- dizziness
-my stomach-ache inreases
-everything is in pain
- headache/head pressure
- these "shubs" usually increases when I fell asleap a bit then I wake up and this starts and then unable to sleep anymore.

I know that air hunger is a classic symptom of babesia, but my new tests does not verify it and I don't have other babesia like symptoms. Can borrelia also cause these symptoms, especially this chest tightness? It is very scary and sux. Earlier I had ECG, but showed nothing! Then the cardiologist said: he thinks it is not heart related. But I think it does as sometimes I also experience double beat, skip beats, and if not heart then what???

Lyme, babs and bart symptoms can all overlap. Also you know that there is not reliable test for the co-infections, so a negative does not mean anything.

I had heart involvement and I did Hawthorn and Motherwort and probably will do them forever because it scared me so badly.

Also any procedure on your body, no matter how small you think it is, it creates trauma. Trauma is stress and your body will react. I think you had to pretty major body traumas (tooth pulled, endo) too close together. Now you need to baby your body to get it back level and try not to schedule procedures so close together. Really give yourself time to heal in between.

Detoxing right now is important.

What protocol are you taking now? Maybe an adjustment can be made to help you along.

Well, maybe you are right, Peteza. But the interesting thing is that these same symptoms came when my root canaled tooth filled, and after I had it removed (1week later), it resolved immediately, and the tooth was extracted last weeks wednesday, and I felt very well for a week! Until this wednesday, when I had this stomach biopsy. To be honest I started feeling not so good already on tuesday.
I don't follow any proticols right now. A few weeks ago I tried to start an ABX course, but my gut pain increased so much that I had stop it after a few days, and I did not want to start anything until tooth extraction so that I can measure the difference to gain experience and I could decide how to move forward with my other 5 root canaled tooth.
I plan to start taking now cannabis oil.

This is sounding like an issue with stress levels on your body. We don't always feel the stress as bad as it really is on our body. Stress lowers immune function, giving the bacteria an even better foothold (or coverage, however you want to look at it) in the body.

Each time you put just a bit too much stress on the body, it will respond in some way when we have these infections. Lyme seems to LOVE injury sites, surgery sites and more - old or new, it doesn't matter. It's a weakness in the body that it can exploit to serve it's purpose (survival).

Since you aren't in treatment (no offense meant!), you aren't doing anything to exert control over the bacteria's growth at all right now, so these responses actually make sense.

I would encourage you to detox - because these bacteria are constantly dying and putting off toxins, and I wish you the best of luck with the cannabis oil. Some have found that's all they need, although I believe most find it's a wonderful addition to their current protocols.

Wow, 5 root canals. Oh my that is going to take a toll on your body.

Without treatment you are not going to heal. I do know this fact. And CBD oil is not a treatment. It "may" alleviate pain, but it will not eradicate lyme. Without treatment you can expect worsening of symptoms.

I agree with Traveler that detox is important since bugs are living and dying in you right now and those dead bugs need a clean pathway to get out of you. Accumulation of those dead bugs are toxic.

I do not envy you having your root canals done. That sounds so stressful.

Have you considered an herbal protocol? There are many to pick from and maybe that will be a good way for you to heal. Just a thought.

CBD oil is being studied as a treatment option and some people have turned to it.

Dr. Eva Sapi teamed up with retired LLMD Dr. Murakami to research CBD oil's effects on lyme bacteria.
They reported that in-vitro it did show activity against the spirochete. And, I believe they were looking into the cyst and biofilm form, as well...not sure where they are with that.

But, does that translate into success in-vivo? It's really too soon to tell.

There are people posting about it working..but this is just anecdotal evidence.

Until further research is done...I wouldn't rely on CBD oil alone...but use it as an adjunct to another treatment - whether herbal or antibiotic. And, if it does relieve symptoms...that is great.

Girlie, yes, this is exactly why I plan to try out CBD oil!

Do you know if the Sápi-Murakami study has already released? If yes, do you know, where I could find it? I'd like to read it soooo much!

...I want to share my theory too: Dr. Sápi has proven that BB builds up biofilms (she prove it in-vivo lately). What if this is the key? I mean, this is why late-stage lyme is nearly impossible to treat/heal, not because of the other forms and epitop switching. Yes, these other forms can also harden the treatment, but I think the main goal is the biofilm!

And what if OTHER organisms can also seek shelter in this protective BB biofilm and this is why we have a lot of co-infections? And this is why they can be also really-really hard to resolve?

And to translate it to my latest symptoms: what if I still have this campylobacter bacteria somewhere inside my body (despite that it does not persist in the body normally), hiding in a borrelia biofilm and now it spread, and cause the exact same symptoms as for the first time I got this infection?

Does it sound logical? What do you think???

Sounds like the main problem is the root canals-they can be the sources of all of your issues.
Go to Dr. Mercola website and see what he says about root canals.
My gut was terrible until I took care of my cavitations-then it just healed
I would see a biological dds.

Wow, magoo! So, you can confirm the link between tooth and other problems! Great!

Yes, I've read this article and exactly this (and my experiences) lead to the first extraction. I start slow and experience thing out as one can read a lot of infos on the internet and a half of them is quackery. The hard thing is to identify which half? :)

Sorry, my mother tongue is not english: what do you mean under "cavitation"? A hole on the tooth, or the hole that is created when a tooth is pulled out?

My symptoms has changed and they are more frightened: a neuropathy-like sensation has been initiated since yesterday. Started with my feet and spread to my limbs. Like nerves are on fire, burning, tingling, also my head is burning, ear is ringing. It is worse at night, I cannot sleep at all. Every time I sleep a few seconds it progresses and is getting worse.
Few month ago I had this whole set of symptoms innthis order when I had this campylobacter infection. I was really afraid that campylo initiated a guillain-barré syndrome which is an inflammation and destruction of the nerves, and therefore autoimmune paralysis within days, or a few weeks, whole body paralisys. It stops at sime point and after a few weeks, it resolves more-or less very slowly. Thank God, last time it wasn't that, or if it was, it stopped at an earlier state.
Now, I am really afraid again. What the hell is it? What can I do against it? Any suggestions? I started to take clarithromycin today!

Yes, all kinds of bacteria and viruses hide out in the biofilms as well, not just Lyme.

When the body is under stress, it lowers the immune function. Lowering the immune function allows more bacteria and viruses to replicate, which then puts more of them in the body. It's common for Lyme patients to have more symptoms after anything that is stressful - either on the body directly or emotionally stressful.

What you experienced a few months ago with the neuro symptoms is very typical of how Lyme symptoms can 'cycle'.

I had someone close to me that had a tooth infection that went thru the bloodstream to the spine (diagnosis: osteomyelitis-bone necrosis). The infection rendered him completely incapacitated, unable to walk or fend at all for himself. He spent weeks in the hospital, then rehab with abx IV. The doctors were amazed he pulled thru. And at his age, he has made an amazing physical come back, though some other effects I will gloss over for now for brevity's sake.

I am led to believe that LD & co were also involved, but my main intent now is to caution hornet here, please, please get treatment help now!!
