Low neutrophils

Hello,

My neutrophil levels seem to keep bouncing up and down. Two months ago they were 1.8, last month they were 3.5, this month they are 1.1 (reference is 2-7).

Any idea why they are going up and down so much? If they fall does that mean treatment is not working? Is there any way to increase neutrophil count?

This month neutrophils are at 1.1

WBC is 3.1

I was thinking WBC when you posted the neutrophils.

So, your WBC is 3.1 That's not too bad. I just quickly checked my lab results...and I had one that was 2.9, but usually there in the 3's. I think I was in range only a couple of times.

My neutrophils are also low...which is why my WBC count is low, too.


Is your Dr. concerned about it? I would talk to him/her. Mine put my mind at ease and said they weren't worrisome.

Try not to worry about it.

When my WBC count was at 2.9 I went in to see my GP...and asked her 'at what point do I need to wear a mask when I'm out in public' - and she said I wasn't even close...that if it gets into the 1's then it's time to worry.

But, definitely have a discussion with your Dr.
