Good Q Peteza! Ive been really concerned about
this too and so far w/summer season coming up I tried OOO for keeping them away one eve when I was sitting on the porch chatting w/ a friend and it 'seemed' to keep the buggers away. I havent used it enough to know for certain how *well* it works though. I put some in a cup next to me and I rubbed some on me. Heres a quick link-
www.ehow.com/facts_7884388_oil-oregano-mosquito-repellent.htmlIm not convinced that mosquitoes cant carry other things besides west nile, like lyme or other blood types of vector borne infections! I mean babesia is a malaria-like infection...and we know mosquitoes transmit malaria! Its just scary stuff. My hubby thinks Im crazy with how I act about
bugs but it just balls down to...I DONT need anything else to deal with! Of course, I know its inevitable to not ever get bit by any bug again in life but def the less exposure to being bitten...then thats gotta reduce the chances!
Also, okay cool--so the Avon Bug guard plus works then Rowingmom!? Glad you mentioned that. ....I think I might have to hit my Avon lady up for some then! Thx
I had used my P73 Oregano oil and of course that is some potent stuff but its also not cheap either for the small bottle to keep using as a mosquito deterrent all summer. Essentially I just wanted to *test* the effectiveness of it and then was going to buy like the vitacost brand or something to use only for a mosquito repellent if I found out it worked.
