DESBIO

Does anybody have any experience with Desbio? It's a homeopathic treatment for Bartinella. Giving you the actually bacteria stimulate your immune system to fight it. You start with very low dosing, 10 small vials to be taken every three days, then on the 10th vial you decrease every 3 days. They are numbered with a chart. It goes over approx 6 weeks.
Only made it halfway on the upswing, then got start or insomnia, anxiousness, a cold with sinus and chest cough, fatigue. My LLMD has me cutting back now. I didn't realize I was herxing from it.

My doctor told me to take 1 tsp of clay in water to bind the toxins. I also do some dry brushing. Have had some terrible morning sweats the last three months. Never had them in menopause! I must admit I gat so tired I get unmotivated to detox and I know I need to keep up with it. Need to look at the New to Lyme detox info. It's so informative. I feel so sensitive to every little thing yet sometimes I can't determine what is what anymore. Thanks for your response

Emotional, I didn't do this particular brand, but my doctor mixed homeopathic formulations for Lyme, EBV, and HHV6. For my formulations I started with the highest dosages. They work from most concentrated to nil. Anyway, I stopped after the 3rd vial of each. I was waking with the most intense top of head headaches. Granted I was doing a lot of new treatments at once but I really thought that the headaches were from the remedies. Guess what ? I stopped and those intense headaches were gone as well. I mean they were scary bad. In retrospect I wish I had just done one at a time. I may resume, but if I do, it will be one at a time.

Now I don't know where you are in your healing, but I did read an article by a doctor who stated that he would not start a patient with homeopathy because often the toxin loads are too high and the immune system is just not prepared to kick in and fight. That made a lot of sense to me in my situation.

I have had great success with DesBio in combination with my antibiotics. In the beginning, when I was starting my antibiotics, I did the Des Bio Series Therapy for Borrellia/Babesia box and the Bartonella Remedy drops, which I herxed horribly on 2 drops. I had to stay on 2 drops for about 6 weeks! I was a newbie, so I wasn't detoxing and that helped somewhat, although I have to say, I herxed and felt like crap for that whole 6 week period.

I worked up to the full dose eventually (took 4 months) 10 drops!

My doctor thinks the vials are too strong, so they have me take half a vial, and work my way up to 10, then take the other half of the vial, going back down. I am currently taking the Bartonella Des Bios Series therapy and each time I take the half vial, a half an hour later, my ears are ringing, feet hurt to walk on and I get a hot burning back sensation. So, mini herx! It goes away the next hour or so...I am almost done with the box. I will probably have to do another box as I am still reacting to it.

I am also on the Borrelia/Babesia drops (10 drops 2x/day) and had to work up to that also. Now, I don't have much reaction to it.

If you can stick with it, I think it works. I am about 95% most days.

Cr3 I think you have hit on something. First off I was taking the strongest dose of all 3 and I am supposed to take the whole vial. I have no idea how many drops that it is ( probably 30), but I was told to take the entire thing at one time. Perhaps that is part of the issue, too much at one time. I never thought and was not advised to divide my dosages throughout the day.

Hmmm food for thought. Again I think I will resume but perhaps at a much slower pace.

Emotional I think we are just taking too much at this time.

My doc started me on the Des Bio vials - the Borrelia/Babesia while I was still on abx. He had me take 1/2 vial every 3 days and when at the end, take the other 1/2 going backwards. I think it was a good transition coming off of the abx. Since then I've been taking the Borrelia/Babesia drops and have worked up to 10 twice/day but I did start out very slowly and when I tried to up them, I herxed and had to go back to 1 drop for a while. I'm also taking the Des Bio drops for EBV virus. I think both are helping - I feel about 80 - 90% normal most of the time. I also have issues with Hashimoto's and now some nodules/cysts on my thyroid that I need to see a specialist for. I wish Des Bio made drops to make the Hashimoto's disappear, lol - but oh well.

My doc highly recommends the LDI shots with the same concept - they are supposed to be very efficient more quickly. For now the drops will do, as they are less expensive than the shots, but I may have to do the LDI eventually.

I would stick it out if you can and remember to take it very slowly and build up - go back to lowest dosage if you need to and then build up again.
