Wow! I know it may sound odd, but I have a whole new level of reverence/awe in relation to these ancient organisms - how they survive/adapt - and think we are at a place as a human species that a deeper wisdom is necessary to maintain balance. In a way - our species has created imbalance on the planet, and in our "all knowing/superior/elite" moments when we think we are the superior species - there is a whole different scenario going on. There was something really interesting on NPR discussing anti-biotic resistant strains and that will most likely continue given our present evolutionary trajectory/choices society is making. These ancient organisms know how to survive/adapt and unless we find a way to live in harmony once again with nature, and restore respect for mother earth/nature, and prioritize with that - bacteria may very well be what takes our species out. Just a random thought. Anyways - I'm at least motivated to do what I can on a personal level to shift - moment to moment, and I think this is another lesson this journey has taught me.

Buhner pretty much says the same things about abx and the issues they cause and the resistant strains of bacterial infections that are now here.

There has been quite of bit of research going on to explore the next "antibacterial" frontier, since science and medicine have known about resistance for a long time, now. So, I'm fairly confident were entering a shift in infection control on a scale that is similar to the evolution of the first antibiotic.

While no one will argue that abx are abused and overused by some (the biggest, most harmful culprit is in livestock and other food sources). But let's not forget, antibiotics also save lives...

I'm not debating that the world is out of balance but I would bet that if we didn't have abx and everyone was using herbal protocols that over time, we'd also find resistance to some herbs--maybe not as quickly or as broadly, but some microbes are simply designed to mutate and survive.

I'll save my "let's ask the biowarfare lyme creators" rant...

Agreed, P. Everything and anything can be overused and abused. There has to be a balance, and the next frontier may just be to find that balance???

BTW -
Elena, do you know much about nematodes?

I ordered live packages to deal with a flea problem in my yard (brought by a group of opossums that had decided to camp out in my attic... once the critters were captured and relocated, the entire neighborhood suffered a horrible flea problem. I think the nematodes were very successful and we had no fleas the following season but as I was applying them the solution splashed and I got a little in my eye.

I immediately contacted customer service, who assured me that there was no harm and that "this" type of nematode is completely harmless to humans... I've searched the web and cat find out much specific info. Within a year my lyme & co symptoms started flaring (most likely due to other impacts) and I started treatment.

To this day, I have blurry vision, floaters and intermittent stabbing pains in my eyes that I can't resolve... I suspect a biofilm issue but in the back of my mind I am wondering about those da** nematodes.

Any info would be appreciated - thanks.

In regards to the nematode-
Recently, my LLMD wanted to try Albendazole to see if I would have any improvement. My LLMD read the article about 11 brains out of 11 tested positive for nematodes in M.S. patients.

The sad part is that I wasn't able to try Albendazole. It would have cost me $3,018. This is what I would have had to pay out of pocket.

This is so sad and frustrating!!
