I'm so sorry, but I read a thread today from a member in France that was looking for a LLMD there. I just don't remember what thread that was or which member!!!! Ugh.

I have a few (3) listings. So if that member would please email me, I'll be happy to share them!

To all other members, please help keep this thread bumped up so that the member has a chance to see this! Thank you in advance. :-)

"Presentation and asking advice" posted by Agnes in 3/2016 check this one out and see if it is the one you are thinking of. She had a LLMD that couldn't work with her because of the Social Security there.

That was me! I did email you, Traveler, so hope you got it! If anyone else knows of docs in Italy - or anywhere in Europe, please contact me, as, if all goes well, I am planning to move in September. Thanks so much!

Sunshine3 - I'm in the UK and my advice would be that you should seek as much treatment as possible in US before you go to Italy, as there is very little help available in Europe. All the expertise at treating this illness is in the US and many from UK are now travelling to US for treatment. Some of those have already spent £1000s on treatment at the best in the UK and found that sadly lacking. Otherwise, there is a doctor in Belgium (though reviews are mixed) and possible Germany (though, again, with mixed results). If you can find a good doctor to treat you in US, I'd be inclined to stick with them, even if you move to Italy.

I also think that it is better to start your treatment in US, as in Europe there are few doctors, also US doctors have more experience and knowledge about Lyme.
