Beware the mycotoxins!

I don't know about your location, but remediation out in my neck of the woods is expensive.

And when it is going on, you can't live there......

A very close friend had black mold in their home and it was a mess to get rid of and costly.

I'm afraid to ask to be tested for mycotoxin. I don't want some agency trying to force me out of my home when I have no where else to go. I know mold is an issue with my health problems, aside from the Lyme D. but I have done what I could to fix the current situation, which is a leaky basement. I got myself approved for a grant through the local government offices and the contractor they hired gave them a incorrect assessment that didn't fix the problems. Two reasons for that; they thought they knew better than I on how to divert the seepage, and they found a way to slice over half the grant monies I was initially approved for, so half the work on the contract was 'dropped'.

Of all the issues I had listed for repairs it seems to me that clean mold free air would have been THE priority. I was already on oxygen at that time.

Not 30 days after the contractor said he was finished I took photos of flooding and other absolutely stupid ways he installed the sump pump, and I made the required written complaints that the work wasn't satisfactory. They sent the contractor out to 'fix' it, but he did not. They have no intention of making this right so that leaves me to figure out where to come up with the money to deal with mold abatement.

I wasn't sure. When I was filling out the paperwork for this work I commented to the local director that I wasn't sure about the question "Does anything in your home constitute a safety issue"?
He told me I would be wise to check "no", unless I was prepared to move out until it's fixed. As it never did get fixed, I'd still be homeless, I guess.
Safety issues are brought to the attention of other housing authorities and if they see the need to condemn, they will.

With my luck........ I mean, it shouldn't have been that big of a deal, if they'd done the repairs I'd asked for.

Waiting for my re-test results, but i did check for CIRS, and biotoxin illness because I felt like my Lyme symptoms were in remission but had new and different things going on. Ironically, my genes are multi-sensitive, so problems could be mold or post Lyme. My C4a was normal though, so it seems like whatever it is I am not currently living in it.

We did test our house for mold, which thankfully, was clean. I'm unsure about my work, but i cannot afford to quit... so it is what it is.

I am on month 3 of Shoemaker protocol with CSM though. I noticed some great changes in my VCS test and then a big regression. So, I am curious about my test results... just waiting. I hate waiting.

Were you tested through realtime? My result says greater than .3 is positive. I was .87

Rikky1, did your LLMD test you for the mycotoxins? I asked my LLMD and he said he doesn't do that. So I'm a bit lost on how to get tested.

Would it be best to find a new doctor that does the testing or just send away for a test that I could do without a doctor? Then if I have it find a new doctor?

So sorry that you have to go through all this. I guess it's best to know so you can start to really heal.
