I wanted to share a success because it is so easy with Lyme to feel defeated, especially when we are not seeing any progress.
I have been fighting the debilitating affects of Lyme for 5 years, but may have acquired it as a child. A lot points to that. After searching the last five years to find an answer as to why I am no longer able to walk normally, (I am ataxic and very weak in my left leg), Lyme was confirmed for me in March of this year.
I have been treating myself with Buhner’s Protocol since March, cleaning up my diet, and working on getting plenty of rest. So treating almost 5 months. Improvement has been slight, but there has been some improvement. Thank God for this forum and all the info I have gathered here.
To make a long story a little shorter, I was able to spend a 10 hour day (six of that driving time) yesterday with my husband, visiting a garden in Wisconsin. It was a beautiful day and I was able to get out of the wheelchair and push it for a good 10-15 minutes! That is huge! Though I walk in the house it is not without a struggle and it is always with having to grab hold of something. After a tough night last night sleeping, I thought for sure today would be bad but it was not! Although it would totally have been worth it!
I also have lost clear vision through the last year but I have been seeing better for several days now! I have had to make my print huge to read or write anything. It is not great yet, but at least I am not looking through a fog! That is such a blessing to me after sitting across from my son last May and barely being able to make out his features. I was beginning to wonder if I would lose my sight altogether. I now hope for complete recovery of my vision.
I hope this can be an encouragement to somebody!
