Welcome Ludic!
Sorry for the reason you're here but glad you found us!
And, sorry to tell you but, I have no doubts you are dealing with Lyme and possibly one or more of its coinfections.
Please know that there are over 100 strains of Lyme. Mainstream labs only test for one strain and even IGeneX is only able to test for two strains.
Noted LLMD Richard Horowitz and author of "Why Can't I Get Better? Solving the Mystery of Lyme and Chronic Disease" has treated over 12,000 patients.
It's his position that *any* reaction (even IND) on a Lyme-specific band + symptoms = Lyme.
Well, bands 23-25 and 39 are specific to Lyme (Bb):
lymetwistontherocks.blogspot.com/2011/01/western-blots-what-do-all-of-those-darn.htmlWhile I'm not happy that we have another member in the lousy Lyme club, I have no doubt that a competent LLMD will diagnose you with those results.
In fact, a competent LLMD will diagnose you based upon your exposure and symptoms. Heck, even the CDC says Lyme is a clinical diagnosis:
www.cdc.gov/lyme/diagnosistesting/index.htmlYou don't necessarily need long-term heavy antibiotics to heal. It is your right to choose your treatment method.
Many people start out with antibiotics and switch to herbals....or they do a combination of both....or just herbals.
One thing that you can start immediately is detoxing.
You see, all the while you've been infected, the bugs have been going through their life cycles which includes death. Well, the bugs release toxins when they die and those toxins are what drive our symptoms:
www.benbrew.com/lb/lyme5.pdfYou may know that Americans are exposed to over 300 chemicals per day. Think personal care products, fabrics, cleaning products, pesticides, car exhaust - the list goes on and on.
An effective detoxing protocol helps clear the toxins of life and, most especially, can clear the toxins generated by the bugs.
Here's some info on that:
www.tiredoflyme.com/detox-methods.htmlAnd, here's a link to a thread on here wherein members shared what they are doing for detoxing:
www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=3602759You will want to start detoxing s-l-o-w-l-y because many methods mobilize toxins and, if your body isn't able to clear them fast enough, your symptoms can worsen.
A binder such as activated charcoal, chlorella or bentonite clay is great for toxin removal since binders absorb EVERYthing. Because of this, you'll want to take binders at least 2-3 hours apart from EVERYthing else (food, meds/supplements, etc.)
Please keep asking questions. The learning curve is steep and those who have walked the path before you can help you up the hill ;)
