Carla, I know you are scared, but you are on a Lyme forum - of course we are going to think of the symptoms that come along with Babesia when someone is having air hunger. We tell people to get their heart checked out if they feel they are having heart issues besides palpitations and such - and I know that I've told you to get your heart checked out.

Lyme is WELL KNOWN to cause heart issues in some people.

It's the patient's responsibility to get to the doctor and get checked out when symptoms becoming that bothersome. That's why under the Guidelines for this forum, it says:

"4. Use good judgement. NEVER rely on information or opinions exchanged to replace necessary, personal consultation(s) with qualified health or medical professionals to meet your individual health or medical needs. Remember that what's right or has worked for one person may not be what's right for you."

Most of us will state that it's our experience or something like that, but not always. You should never take what you read on any forum as medical advice - always check it out and always make sure it applies to you.

Carla are you taking coq10? This highly recommended for people with CHF. There have been instances where the CHF has been reversed. Many with viral and bacterial infections need to take coq10 anyway. You can implement this yourself or better yet, speak with your doctor about it.

As Krimpet stated, CoQ10 is good for the heart...and also Hawthorne.

When it comes to heart issues, we do tell members to get checked out... So, you said you've had yours checked out numerousl times...and what did the Dr.s say? Do you have heart issues? Do you have Congestive Heart Failure?

I went to doctor and they did as they always had ultrasound everything looked fine...told me to go to rheumatologist due to levida and reynauds....so no..no true diagnosis...but I do believe eith all of this fluid retention etc and how when that happens I can't breath it is CHF..I called my ND today to see what she recommends..we will see...I am not having good luck with docs here..I am thinking of just going to ER to get checkewd out...I can't take any of the meds due to low bp..so I don't know what they can do

My heart also skips beats from time to time....and I have tons of circulatory problems

Yes..I have a cardiologist...they have never even drew blood on me and I have went to 2 different ones

I have had ultrasound and EKG and that is all...and when they seem what appeared to be autoimmune..I was just brushed off and told to go to Rheumatologist..


Why I am thinking of going to ER they may run tests there

They didn't give me a diagnosis...I have never got one diagnosis except for the western blot and eliza test.....I posted about CHF because with all the circulatory heart issues etc I have had over the last 2 years even before treatment it makes sense and the breathing issues..I have had lyme for 12 or 15 years but have never had breathing issues until after the root canal and abscess...I just was saying be careful because when people talk about air hunger..it could be more than just air hunger especially if they are retaining fluid.....or swelling in the face legs etc...I have had this off and on and who knows it could be herxing as I was treating for a long time and didn't really realize it

I have been doing the bees..only up to 2 stings and I have been doing the magnet treatments to support my body because well I started feeling some what better..I hardly have the heat in my body any more ..or at least not the same kind..now it is a different kind but not as often...the bvt is the only thing to "TREAT"...I feel I should do more..I am worried about BVT now with possible heart issues..

I know I went to the ND a few months ago..Not Joy and he told me my heart was enlarged and I had the arteries of a 90 year old woman...I don't see him anymore as I was getting worse..but the things he was giving me at the time were killing things off and I didn't know it and I wasn't detoxing...I didn't a lot about that then....

I was just saying traveler...is that any time air hunger or having a hard time breathing etc..it is always babesia..I was just making a point as with maybe people who are knew to all of this and trying ot navigate and can't think straight for those who are more experienced...might need to throw it in there ..that it is possible it could be heart related...just as a reminder...no big deal not trying to fight...CHF never crossed my mind until I started swelling up like a ballon the last few months..I have been swelling this whold time the last 2 years but not like that an dmy breathing had gotten worse and before since I have been to a cardiologist..I kept telling myself it is babesia no need to worry it will pass..not looking at all the other symptoms along with it.....again because I had went to a cardiologist and they were not concerned and the ND that I went to well I think I Have told you about him and I just didn't trust him......but now I think he may be onto something...Jordan tested me over the weekend and did say my heart was struggling gand inflamed and suggested I go to the ER but she did use the magnets to support my heart and I got managed to breath and sleep last night for the first time in days

all they did was ekg and ultrasound and once they seen I had levido reticularious and reynauds they told me to go to rheumatologist and that was all they did..Im going to try again

I have frequent palpitations, but no other cardiac symptoms that I know of. Over the years, I've had this checked out by a cardiologist, and nothing shows up. With this recent conversation, however, I realize I've not had a workup in a few years. I agree that a good cardiologist is very important. The general tests run by generalists often indicate very little. A cardiology battery is far, far more extensive. While palpitations can have other sources (thyroid), we cannot be negligent and ignore them. They are symptoms of other things.

I agree Titus...all I had were a few palpitations here and there and I do have thyroid issues..the swelling or water retrention or whatever with all of my vascular issues has me concerned....I didn't now mean to piss people off...I was just saying there are other things it could be..other than babesia...the fluid may or may not be heart related I know I have the fingernails that curl under...but have been told that could be nutrition related or all kinds of things..(not on here) so...anyway..

No one is pissed off either, Carla. We are just trying to point out that you don't have the diagnosis, you have been checked out, and that we DO tell people with heart issues to get to a Cardio doc to get checked out. Lyme can and does affect the heart, but not for everyone even though they have heart symptoms. Many here have heart issues due to Lyme and company beyond a few palps and a few fast heart beats on occasion like I get. I get VERY nervous about heart issues for a few reasons.

You have been very concerned about many issues, and we have tried to be of help, and have tried to help you find doctors as well. We both know there are very few in the state that we live in that are worth much, but they are there. Go to the University Hospital and get in there to see a Cardio to get a good work up.

But, just because you have those symptoms, doesn't mean you have CHF. I don't know exactly what it all means, but I do know that you need to be seen by a Cardio in order to at least alleviate your fears and make sure your heart is healthy.
