I am wondering what the current consensus is on the Sponaugle clinic. Does anyone have any recent experience with the clinic - good or bad? Does anyone have stories of sustained improvement? And does anyone have an idea of current costs? Is there testing that can be done ahead of time to determine whether one would be a good candidate for Sponaugle type tx.

I personally don't have any experience with Sponaugle Clinic.

There are more threads on it - to do a search click on "Search" (in the blue bar - upper right of this page) and type in Sponaugle Clinic.

Yes, I had done a search...I was really just trying to find out if there were any people that had RECENTLY been to Sponaugle and if there were sustained successes? It doesn't look to me like there are a ton of people using them . Would it be reasonable to assume that if it was working, more people would be doing it?

And, Yes, thanks, I had read through the "New to Lyme" section (even though, unfortunately, I am not new to Lyme). It is incredible to me that not much has changed since my first long bout with this 25 years ago.

Sorry for the reason you're here but glad you found us!

And, yes, it's a pathetic state of affairs that not much has changed with Lyme diagnosis and treatment except that people are finding ways to heal themselves since mainstream medicine continually fails them.

That said, not everyone finds their way to forums. And, if people find their way to places like Sponaugle and are healed, I doubt they have motivation to post about their success on a forum.

I hope you continue to visit here. This place is full of caring and knowledgeable people.

AK-When you did your search I assume you found posts that included responses by Jackie Moon. He or she (I'm honestly not sure) hasn't been on in the last month or so but has always commented that "for more information you can email"

I know that it was stated that it was not a total answer but a tremendous start to treatment. You would have to continue to treat once you were back home unless you had unlimited funds and were able to stay there for months on end. If you are willing to travel I would also look into the Hansa Center in Kansas.

I talked to someone who was a current patient there and was improving drastically. She only had positive things to say treatment wise. On the down side it's all out of pocket and you stay there for a long period of time (4 months). It's very expensive. On the flip side I researched and found very negative review and law suits against him saying he is a scam that was very concerning to me.

I went to another center in FL and there were some patients there that had been to Sponaugle. They didn't have anything negative to say about him although they didn't think his treatments were as good as the doctor that we were all seeing at the current center. They did have positive improvements with him, but they weren't completely healed. Most had been with him for 3-4 months. But they did say that they saw other patients experience miraculous improvements. Oh and lastly, his staff weren't that friendly.
