I haven't given it much thought until now but are there any special considerations in taking this supplement? I do take it away from my bp and thyroid meds.

I take it at night and also in the morning when I take the rest of my vitamins. It's 4 hours away from my thyroid meds.

magnesium interacts with quite a few things including quite a few antibiotics. its important if you are taking antibiotics to look at the interactions. other vitamins/minerals should also be avoided when taking certain abx like tetracyclines so make sure if you're going to add something to your regimen (even if a doctor told you to) to do your own research on interactions.

I take it at bedtime to help with sleep. I also try to do an epsom salt bath 3x a week. It really helps me feel better along with taking an alka seltzer gold.
when I feel my arms or legs begin to twitch I take extra magnesium and get a bath. it really helps

Not on ABX anymore, but when I was- I took the last dose with dinner and took magnesium before bed. Helps sleep at night and be "regular" in the AM. Plus I take thyroid in the AM.
So.....same as a few others here.

I also do epsom baths and swear by them. I get Myers IV when I can. I take magnesium first thing Am and at night... I am doing CIRS protocol right now, and CSM must be taken 1 hour after vitamins, 1/2 hour before a high fat meal. No vitamins for 2 hours. CSM is 4x/day, so taking supplements is really hard... but it's manageable, especially when my work schedule is pretty regimented.

Is everyone taking magnesium in response to muscle twitching, or is it preventitive? I started getting muscle twitch about
a week ago. Some days are worse then others, but it's a real pain in the butt when trying to rest and relax. Right calf seems to get it the worse, but these twitches don't seem to discriminate against any muscle group.
Magnesium test came back normal. Have any of you had normals blood results, started to magnesium supplement anyways and seen an improvement in the twitch?

I take magnesium oxide to help with moving my bowels (TMI, sorry!) and magnesium orotate for my muscles. The mag. orotate helps with muscle soreness and with twitching for me.
