cod liver, krill or what kind of fish oil?

Morning All!

I have been searching the forum looking for what kind of fish oil to take, but I am finding a lot of which brands to use, not what kind. Which is the best to take for Lyme? Is it krill oil, cod liver oil, sardine oil....which one??? Also, I do still welcome recommendations for brands as well.

right now I am taking Metagenics Omega DHA/EHA, but I would like to switch as they are 1)expensive and 2)pill form comprised of sardine, mackeral and another i can't remember right now. Thanks everyone!

I have always heard that Krill oil is the best to use to help with inflammation. This is what I take but am not sure about the top recommendations for lyme treatment. But this will bump up your post for more views. Hopefully others will be able to give you better advice!

I've used Carlson's Cod Liver Oil, then found that they private labeled pretty much the same formula for VitaCost at almost 1/2 the cost.

I eat a lot of wild caught fish. But I love Barlean's Lignon Flax Oil. Barlean's is a great company and organic.

I would try this one because anything a kid will eat is probably going to be good.

Denikeef, what brand of krill oil do you take and where do you get it? I need something to help with inflammation, as well as all the other benefits.

Thanks Art, but lemon, black pepper and I are not friends. Gives me really bad heartburn (I've been dx with GERD). And I bought tumeric, but muscle tested negative for it, so my husband mailed it back. Fish oil seems to be agreeing with me, plus I use some homemade cannabis oil every now and again :)

Dr. Burrascano recommends in his treatment guidelines Pharmanex MarineOmega. It's kind of expensive but can be found fairly easily online--I think I got mine from Amazon. Here's what he says: "Fish Oil: Use “Marine Omega” by Pharmanex. Use four daily, taken on a full stomach (this brand is required because it is made not from fish, but from Krill and is certified to be free of any measurable amounts of heavy metals and organic toxins)." I only use two daily because of cost, but it's better than nothing.
