I got my ELISA test back today. It was negative. To be positive it had to be over .9, my number was .217.
I am wondering what that means? Does it mean that some Lyme antibody was detected but not enough?
I also know that this test is unreliable but just trying to see what it means that it detected something in my blood. When I google it I don't come up with much so turning to the group here for some possible answers.
Thank You All!! On to finding an LLMD and ordering Igenex testing! Frustrated but not giving up.

No, I am sorry but it means that it is negative. I can tell you though that I was negative on two different Elisa tests before I tested positive with the Igenix Lab on a Western Blot. Don't give up! You will find the answers. I am glad you are ordering the test! Unless you can afford it, I would start with the WB 188 and 189. Those are the cheapest tests. I also heard on facebook yesterday that there is a Lyme group that is offering 75% off on the test to a limited amount of people that have a limited income. I am not sure how true that is but you could call Igenix and find out! I could also see if i can find it and send you the information.

I was negative on the government lab IFA (which is similar to the ELISA) - then a few months later positive on Igenex Western Blot.

Thank You for that information Denikeef! I will look up the 75% off discount. I can give Igenex a call later today if I can't find the info online.
I have some new pains I am having in my groin/pubic area - hurts so bad!! Deep deep aching. It is all so strange. Just want to feel better.

Here is a link to a listing of different ways to help save on testing and some pharma meds. Lymetap is the one that helps with the cost of testing:

Just keep in mind that your Igenex test could be negative too. There is no test that finds Lyme all the time. And even that negative could really be positive, if your doctor adds in the clinical picture.
