Desperate to get signature for IGenix testing!!!

I have been desperately trying to get my doctor or any of my specialist to sign my IGenix form and I have been unsuccessful. I live in Burlington Ontario and I've even gone to three walking clinics to try and access a signature . As of recently natural paths in Ontario have been banned from signing the form . I am desperately in need of getting this signed does anyone have any suggestions ??

Do you have a chiropractor? They can sign.

Call Igenix for ideas. They may be able to help.

Someone just posted recently on how to get a signature without a Dr. Does anyone remember that post?

I can't search for it now but if I will try to later and find it for you.

Hi Mariposa, welcome to our community!

I am from BC and am familiar with the issues in the other Provinces. Thankfully, so far the BC government isn't getting in the way of us getting tested and/or treatment here.

My LLND sent my husband the Igenex kit with his signature on it. If you called his office, maybe he could do the same for you.
But, would the Ontario lab accept a BC ND's signature?

Do you have LifeLabs in Ontario? Maybe give the lab a call and ask if an out of province ND can sign lab req's.

I think Denikeef is talking about TrueHealth Labs - you can get testing done through them...but I don't see Lyme testing in the Canadian tests.

I just thought of something else.

There is an MD that is 'lyme friendly' in Ontario. Maybe he will sign off on the Igenex.

No chiropractor, called Canlyme, email to ILADS, relentless calls to specialist who said he would sign then didn't, naturopaths in Ontario, Canada have been cut off from signing (that was my initial route, shown up to three walk in clinics, Ontario lab will ONLY accept signature from an Ontario MD, think my MD will sign now but have to wait and see if fax comes through :(. Uuggggh so exhausting

That makes me angry. What is this - a police state (province)?


I know my MD would do it.

I wonder why things are so different in BC than Ontario?

How about making a chiropractor appt...and having a 'treatment' - and then asking to sign the form? Sounds crazy...but do what you need to do.

...email me - and I will give you the MD name - he's apparently Lyme friendly.


Other than that...you may have to cross the border...or fly to BC.

I called the lab who does collections and she spoke to the naturopath society and the only test they can order is IGenx 4090 basic Lyme panel through ND Doctor and nothing else. My MD said she would sign and my gastro specialist. Once I sent the firm for them to sign they have both changed their minds. I have been trying for a month now:(
I guess my next step is to try and cross the border and go to a basic clinic I guess and try and get a signature and have it sent from there. This is absolutely crazy and I am just at the test stage.

The basic lyme panel is more than you need.

All you really need is the Lyme WB IgM and IgG for $210.

So, you could get a ND to sign.

What other tests are you wanting?

I just checked what the 4090 has - and it's the Lyme WB Igm and IgG and the IFA

You don't need to have the co-infections testing done in order to get treatment.

I am calling the ND tomorrow for sure. She told me that they couldn't sign forms at all. But this isn't the first time information has been crossed. Will find out tomorrow.

Mariposa73, I hope you get it straightened out. But as close as you are to Buffalo, NY, if it was me id probably just head across the border. I am surprised how you all are treated regarding Lyme. I went to Ontario on a bear hunt years ago, and I know this is going to sound odd, but I kept noticing how beautiful these peoples teeth were. Everyone had great teeth! I just assumed your healthcare was so much better than ours. Good luck, wish you the best!

If you can't find it let me know. My doc only did the one panel. He said that the lab test only a few strains so he would rather treat based on his clinical observation.

Best thing I did was email ILADS last week. They emailed me the Lyme MDs close to me. I called and told the secretary that ILADS sent me the referral and they scheduled an appointment for me in less than a week. I also told them that I have tested positive (Canadian Lab) for Bartonella and all other tests are pending.

That's great.

So, you have an appt. with a U.S. LLMD?

I have a question - you said you tested positive for Bartonella - with the regular test under our health care plan?

If so, I should ask my GP to test me...since it would be covered under our health care plan.
