I have done the LDI for Borrelia/babesia/Bartonella and also Candida/Lyme. The first B/B/B shot was too strong and I felt bad for a week, but then felt a ton better. This last one, he gave me a weaker dose and I only felt bad for 4 days.

I agree with ko7, i am a bit skeptical, after seeing that video. I was way too sick to just do LDI and no antibiotics. But it seems to be working...

I think the most progress has been with the Candida/mold. I literally have zero allergies now.

Edit: The person i'm referring to is not Dr. V. It is someone who commented on Dr. V's video.

Girlie, are you referring to Mr. W?

2 months before all my Lyme symptoms began, I had a huge outbreak on my chest that looked like some kind of shingles or herpes-type virus. Also have been struggling with recurrent shingles outbreaks on my hip that seem to coincide with my flare ups. Therefore, with his claim that virus' are the real problem, I have been interested in reading his book to see if it is something that may help me. Is this a waste of time? Is this guy's advice to be avoided?

I don't think you can assume his actions on the forum have anything to do with his knowledge. Honestly I believe that there is truth to the fact that viruses are a big issue. My doctor told me this when I initially met with him in March.

Recently I tried monolaurin for my EBV and got my dosage up to 3,225 a day and I was honestly feeling better. I had to stop because I seem to be having an allergic reaction to it. So I am now trying to find a replacement to really work on the EBV.

No, it's not Dr. V. The person that Girlie is referring to not only attacked and intimidated members here and on other Lyme forums they were on, but cyberstalked me - and who knows how many others.

As far as this other person's knowledge (again, not Dr. V), considering you can't ask this person any questions without having your question not only will your question not be answered, but you get a rant from them as well - they can't be considered a 'credible' source for information.

Again, this is NOT a negative against Dr. V and his practices.

I want to add that I'm having a conf call with Dr. Tim Jackson. I hope I can mention his name?

I'm trying to get to the bottom of this mess with understanding viruses.

Will keep you posted on what he says. Shooting for next week for a conf call.

That's great! Yes, I would love to know what he has to say. Hopefully you will get some very useful information. But with him, I'm sure it will be very useful.

Is it possible to treat EBV with common antivirals, like Olive leaf extract for example?

I don't know about EBV, but I've been taking olive leaf extract, monolaurin, and l-lysine religiously, and am just getting over a wicked outbreak of shingles. Something is not clicking, the viruses are still winning.

you can always take pharmaceuticals, but they are hard on liver

I took monolaurin and oliverix (which has olive leaf extract in it) for probably 3-4 months with no real benefit. I just finished month 1 of anti-viral and my lymph node has went down and my fatigue is much better. I also feel like I may be getting a cold ( haven't been sick in 2 yrs). It's either that or I'm allergic to Bactrim that I just started. lol

I did see some benefit with L-Lysine for fatigue. I'm hoping to transition back to it after I beat this EBV down.

Also, I'm wondering if the quality of the monolaurin matters. Mine was just a cheapy from amazon.

k07, yes I think the quality of monolaurin does matter. My viruses had been under control while I was using Lauricidin, then it ran out and I switched to "Immunity Max" monolaurin, which had a smell like lead. It was while using this that the shingles came back. I got more of the Lauricidin, and its back under control, thought I'm not really sure if its a coincidence, or if it really had to do with the brand of monolaurin.

I've been scouring the Jernigan website today looking for something. So there are 2 products that may work. Virogen or Microbojen. Also there was in the forum search results, a discussion around these items.

I think it's true that brand of monolaurin may have something to do with it as well. I'm really tempted to try the lauricidin first. If it doesn't work, I can always give it away.

My CBC WBC count was in range and I compared the lymphocytes/neutrophils from a year ago and they are about the same, all in range. With an active infection of EBV or other virus wouldn't the WBC count increase? Specifically the lymphocytes?

Simon Timplar, I just finished three weeks of 400 mg Acyclovir 2x/day.

I do think I feel less tired. But I also started armor thyroid at the same time, and it's possible that it has helped me feel less tired.

I can still have one great day, and then be tired for the next two.

I saw the infectious disease specialist for the results. He interpreted the EBV high IgG and CMV high IgG as me having strong immunity against them. He said he couldn't find an infectious, rheumatologic or environmental cause for my symptoms.

Im sorry Sam....but most persons on here don't place much merit in those ID docs. I'm soooooo glad I never went to one. That response seems to be pretty typical from what I've read on this forum.

Hopefully you have another doc in the wings.
