Profuse Sweating and Bart? Or, Something Else?

My husband has been sweating profusely today. He soaked the bed when he took a nap. And then he sweated again, after a detox soak, drenched from head to foot. Sweat poured off his head and back. 5 with bart have this symptom? Or, do any of you without bart have this as a Lyme or co-infection symptom?

(This is not the first time he has sweated like this, but it's the first time he has had two episodes so close together. His temp is 97.5.)

Drenching sweats are usually attributed to Babesia.


Although bart can cause them, too.

i have bart...and I have sweating episodes. Trying to figure out if I also have Babesia.
I have been herxing on the Artemisinin.

It's really difficult sorting it all out, isn't it?

I also have low body temp - even when I'm sweating...no fever here.

Thanks, girlie. Yes, it is difficult to sort this all out.

Husband Bill also has Lyme, diabetes and other health issues, and I worry that he might need to go to the hospital. If it's a co-infection, causing this, I think he's okay at home.

Do you do anything for the profuse sweating?

Girlie you can do a giemsa stain pretty easy ...supplies would be as much as this test http://www.dnaconnexions.com/
i have bart and had a swrating episode after silver iv today...
my dad has been soaking his sheets ...we dont know his coinfections yet some borrielia ricketsia is relapsing fever ..my temp is low like that and i think its thyroid
keep him hydrated ..a friend on other forum got sweats to stop with buhner babs herbs

bluelyme, what is a giemsa stain?

Edit: (I just googled giemsa stain and saw sort of what it is. Have you had such a test? And, if so, did it help with a diagnosis of anything?)

I just remember that my husband was dehydrated several years ago when I was out of town. His judgement was poor and I think that was the beginning of his Lyme-like symptoms. I can't believe it took me several years to insist he be tested for Lyme.

My sweating is not really bad...most of the time.

It's not usually 'drenching' sweats. And, mine only last a couple minutes - each episode. Sometimes i will have two or three a day.

With that amount of sweating - make sure he is drinking enough...

Thanks, y'all reminding me to get him to drink more. I forget how important that is, and he is like oblivious to all of this.
