Hey Lymer! I hope all is well. I wanted to check in to see how you were doing, the visit with the oncologist, LLMD, etc. I'm calling my doctor today. I haven't had my RBC or White Cell Count looked at since December and since then I've been on 2 different medications.

Praying for your nephew too always!

I've been meaning to post about the oncologist, the LLMD, the terrible way my Rheumatologist turned on me when I told him about the LLMD, I just haven't found the time!

The oncologist said they were able to rule out low-grade Lymphoma and CLL (a type of chronic leukemia), and I truly feel that it was/is lyme and Co. throwing off my levels. I will follow-up with the oncologist in a few months, but I think I'm in the clear.

Thanks to the advice from MarieLS (and my gut instinct), I have decided to do this follow-up with my nephew's Oncologist. That way I'll also get a second opinion :)

I've started treatment for Lyme. My LLMD suspects lyme, Bart, babs, ehrichiliosis (sp?), and possibly one or two others. I'm still waiting on results form the Igenex, and praying at least one or two of these pop up....

In the meantime, I'm taking Rifampin, Zithromax, Diflucan and Nystatin, and several supplements, per my LLMD.

I'm in the midst of a major herx right now. I'm just hoping it will pass soon!

How are you doing? Are you still taking the Biaxin, and does it seem to help? Good luck calling the doctor today, I hope you get good news! Keep me posted!!! :)

I caught your thread with a search engine. My white blood cell count is 3.7. Has been for some time now. After my igenx test came back cdc igm positive igg neg my internal med. Dr still says I don't have lyme even though I have felt better with treatment. He wanted to refer me to a hematologist. I said forget it I'm done.
Wanted to see how you were doing now.

Concepts, We might be able to help you find a real Lyme literate medical doctor so that you can get the treatment you need to heal.

IgM positive means active infection, and since you've seen improvements with treatment, that's further conformation that you do have an active case of Lyme.

I actually went thru 1 np here that has lyme. She gave me about 2 months of abx and then told me she wouldn't px me anymore because she was afraid of lawyer. I said ok! Some kind person local gave me about 1.5 months of doxi that could get me by. Did the lyme bullets now doing a parasite cleanse. This Tuesday I'm finally going to see an llmd. Hopefully she will put me on a regimine that works and gets this crap out of my bones. I had a couple old symtoms come back last week...thought it was strange...scared me. Woke in the middle of the night with heart racing feeling sick and then the chills.
It's literally been hell...even after I've been diagnosed cdc positive. They all want to tell you it's something else...but yet they don't have any answers and don't want to treat me. This has to be the worst disease ever to have. When the county nurse called about my dx. I talked with her about it and I said. Whatever you do...don't get this disease cause you will be left to die and take care of yourself .

Yes, it's really a shame the way Lyme patients are treated. Many have to go through years of misdiagnosis and mistreatment.

I'm so glad that you are going to see a LLMD now!! Hopefully they will be able to get you started healing quickly!!

I too have had low WBC for years since before I knew I had lyme & Babesia. Not sure which one gives me the low WBC. Lymphoma is also in my family, my mother and currently my brother. Another brother lost to leukemia so I am on high alert for blood cancers too. It seems to be the tick infections in my case causing the issues. I hope you get a definitive answer so you can proceed accordingly. There are great treatment protocols for lymphoma now. My brother has been in remission the last two years and is a lot healthier than me that is for sure.

I just had blood work drawn . I'm getting a port next week. My Neurologist office just called and said my WBC is very low at 2.4 and they're concerned and faxing results to my primary.
In the back of my mind I was wondering if it was due to my Lyme. Lol these Drs won't even mention the word "LYME"

kimbo62 - My wbc count has been out of range (low) since I've been treating lyme and co's.

I think the lowest it dropped at one point was 2.6


I'm not sure if it's lyme, bart...or perhaps babesia...
