Many people with Lyme go through this process of "what if it's something worse than Lyme?". The thing is, without treatment for Lyme, there's no way to tell if it's Lyme or something else because the testing is so terrible
Are you detoxing and working on getting your diet in a better place?
And as Girlie asked, are you considering going to a LLMD?
The closest LLMD is over an hour away and I don't drive. But also, I've been unable to find out if they a) take my insurance and b) if they require a CDC diagnosis (or any clinical Lyme diagnosis for that matter) prior to a consultation. Like I said, there is apparently a local MD/psychiatrist who apparently diagnoses and treats Lyme in my immediate area who takes my insurance. I was going to give her a call when the insurance kicked in and ask her if she was ILADS certified and other such questions. She probably isn't, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.
As far as detoxing, I forgot to get Epsom salts at my store today. I vastly prefer showers to baths, but I suppose I could give it a try. I think I saw some form of citrus pectin in our vitamin section, but I know it's not that NOW brand featured on the Tired of Lyme site. Also, I saw Benadryl on there. Is that useful for detox too? Or is that more to help with the herxing symptoms? I imagine it would be the latter, since Benadryl is not an antibiotic but an anti-histamine.
My waking body temperature today was the lowest I've ever seen it: 95.6. I was SO cold for the first few hours of work this morning. And I read a post on another site where a lot of Lymies were saying that they're night owls because for them, their symptoms seem to improve later in the evening. I've always been more of a night person, but since I got sick initially in March, my symptoms often seem to subside at least a little bit at night. I have a feeling that's part of where the connection between adrenal fatigue/insufficiency and Lyme comes into play.
