@Traveler.
I am just reading the thread you suggested.
Yes the silver does not seem to be doing anything or at least nothing noticeable which made me doubt i had Lyme but i have noticed the last time there was a full moon i was very ill with tight muscles (some have told me Lyme comes out to play on full moon). Maybe I'm expecting much too soon but maybe like you said i need to combine more to beat it, i am looking for that one herx or change that proves i am getting somewhere.
You make a good point that other infections may be the ones affecting me more and not Lyme.
I will do an entire protocol for Buhner for Lyme then attempt babesia protocol leaving bartonella until last.
I have heard that Lyme on its own without co-infections is not very common so i will try each protocol one by one until i hit the critters, if i get a very noticeable herx i will come back here to report it.
As for temp disability payments thanks for bringing this up as this is one the things i need most (i am from the UK), the worry is that if the LLMD diagnoses me on clinical symptoms but i have lacking positive bloods will they consider me unworthy of any kind of financial help saying i need blood results?
When i see the LLMD i will ask her if a diagnosis of clinical symptoms is enough to get disability payment.
Yep i am detoxing, i use sweet wormwood, milk thistle, ashawagwanda and olive leaf extract; i also have other stuff in tincture which is a mix of a few things as well as a biofilm buster. I take B Vitamins also. I ordered some Epsom salt a few days back.
I think the only thing i am truly lacking is a good probiotic, looking for one that is affordable & not too expensive.
Dr Burrascano for example recommends good bacteria "Acidophilus" probiotics and "life pack" multivitamins in his treatment guide while fighting Lyme but life pack is quite expensive and i am scared of taking good bacteria type products as i have heard from people (in other forums) someone with leaky gut should not take them until it is healed, perhaps someone here has view on that?
Thank you, I appreciate the help.
Many of the things you mention that you are using for detoxing actually have some great qualities to them, but not necessarily for detoxing - other than milk thistle, which is used to help detox and protect the liver. Sweet wormwood, which I use in my Lyme protocol, is actually artemesia, which is used to kill Babesia parasites:
www.gaiaherbs.com/products/ingredient/341/Sweet-Wormwood So this could actually be adding to your toxin load, if you have Babesia.
I also use Ashwagandha - a favorite of mine, actually. It's a really wonderful adaptogenic herb for the thyroid and adrenals. If they are low functioning, Ashwagandha helps to raise their function - if they are functioning too high, it will help to lower it - and if they are doing just fine, then it won't harm them. But it does little to help directly detox the body.
Olive leaf extract is great for improving immune function, not for directly helping with detoxing - but again, it too could be adding to your toxin loads, as it does many things:
www.livestrong.com/article/142825-side-effects-olive-leaf-extract/ So again, I would really encourage you to look into helping your body detox better with some of the suggestions in that link I posted in my previous post. You are taking some good things, but they aren't necessarily helping directly in your detoxing your body, and could be adding more toxins to your body than you already have.
For probiotics, there are sooo many opinions on them! Personally I prefer to make my own kefir. It's never let me down, although I do have to admit that using raw goat's milk was much more effective than the store bought cow's milk I now have to use. Here is a listing of the strains of probiotics that can be found in homemade kefir:
www.culturesforhealth.com/milk-kefir-grains-composition-bacteria-yeast With probiotics, those that have absolutely had to have really superior probiotics seem to always say, you get what you pay for, so do keep that in mind. You will need one that has as many strains as possible. S. bouldarii is one that is very important to have in your probiotics if you are buying them, I have figured out that much, as it directly plays a part is calming the diarrhea/damage associated with abx use - but that alone isn't enough from what I've read/seen. So then it's all about
the number of strains used. Many people must do a trial and error to find the one that works best for them.
Keep asking those good questions! The learning curve is very steep with Lyme. Let us know how we can be of help!!
