I have B. Quintana. It is the Bartonella specifically adapted for humans, we are its main reservoir. Along with bacilliformis.
B. Quintana is also called "trench fever" because it infected over one million soldiers in Europe's WW1. Almost all of them recovered after about
one month, without any treatment. That's because most of them were not lyme positive, so their healthy immune system destroyed it.
Virtually any known bacteria can create biofilms. So this is not something specific to lyme or to Bartonella. Remember when you do not clean the shower room it starts to feel slippery when you walk? That is bacterial biofilm. Plaque in our mouth is caused by biofilm deposits.
These bacteria are not special because they create biofilms. The only really special and weird bacteria is Borrelia. It somehow manages to 1) suppress the immune system 2) constantly changes its wall so that it looks like it's a new bacteria and the immune system starts all over again 3) infects lymph nodes where the immune system should adapt to kill it and it prevents this adaptation. 4) it spreads all over the body and digs into tissues where the immune system cannot reach. 5) uses manganese instead of iron, like all the decent bacteria on this planet, so when the immune system detects an infection and "hides the iron" to sabotage the bacteria, it does not affect Borrelia at all
It is the real enemy. These coinfections are nothing. They become a huge issue because of the immune suppression Borrelia is capable of mounting. As a comparison, Bartonella creates horrific infections in AIDS people, while for normal healthy people it barely gives u a 5 day fever and then u are cured... Same with Babesia, Erlichia, Candida... These are no serious threats for a healthy person. They become serious when u have Borrelia, HIV, etc...
I think houttuynia is very effective for treating bartonella. It is part of both cowden and buhner protocols.
And garlic, loads of garlic. Sida acuta is also very effective, because Bartonella's life cycle includes the red blood cells, it uses them to spread around, and Sida acuta changes something to the erythrocites and it makes it hard for these Bacteria to enter inside. Obviously nobody has done studies to confirm or deny this, we just know it works by trial and error.
As far as antibiotics .... flouroquinolones +rifampin are good combo, but who can stay on that for years? I surely cant... but on Buhner's herbs i can... When u have a chronic infection the war is different, it is more of an attrition warfare than a full assault. U can't win this by nuking the enemy.
