New to Monolaurin, any feedback on results? Not sure how to take for Lyme.

My Monolaurin arrived today. At the time that I purchased it I knew at the time why I wanted to get it but that was a few weeks ago and I have forgotten why I needed to use it. I read through some past posts to get an idea of its benefit for Lyme. Do you take it by dropping it on your tongue or mixing with something like yogurt? Or mix in something else? I know to build up slowly. Did you notice benefits withing the first week?

Thanks, mine are also little pellets. I tried just eating and they taste like soap and are bitter. So it must be good for me! Then I read on the material that came with it to just swallow it whole. I think that I got it for yeast, but it says it is also good for Lyme. It is a pretty big container, now if I will just use it regularly we will see how much it helps.

I have some leftover Ecological Formulas 300mg monolaurin capsules. One month did nothing. Maybe that was a good thing (?) I should just finish the bottle so I can feel better about tossing it. (like everything here, it was over priced).

I am on it currently. Took a half scoop at first and got very dizzy and flushed at times (herx?). Slowly going up on dose. I am up to about 30 pellets twice a day which is around 1000mg. Can't tell if it's doing anything. I think I read you need a very high dose for Lyme (3000 or more mg) I was put on it for EBV but told it would help candida and Lyme too. Let is know how you do with it.

Titrate up very slowly. It can cause herxes. I understand that that brand is really good and powerful. I did the same brand as astroman until I had to stop due to allergic reactions. But it was very helpful when I was taking it.

I'm taking the Inspired Nutrition brand. I think high dosage is key, they say to do 9000 mg / day for Lyme. I previously took some 1000mg capsules once a day and didn't notice anything. I herxed from the Inspired Nutrition stuff but only once I started taking 3000mg a day. I ramped up to 9000 mg over a couple weeks and did herx on and off. Now I don't herx from it.

Project I agree dosage is key but titrating up slowly is very important. And slowly is different based on our tolerances. Most people end up between 5,000 and 9,000. I started feeling better at 3,000 so I know I would not have gone up to 9,000mg.

All dosages for anything are subjective. We run into this a lot when we discuss herbs.

If you want to start very slowly and low dose-- why not try organic coconut oil. Search 'monolaurin and coconut oil' in the search engine of your choice. Very pleasant tasting and easy to use to see if you experience any untoward effects. Just a thought. My family uses it everyday. Wonderful on sweet potatoes. Or on toast with honey, sprinkle of cinnamon. Available everywhere, even on sale at times. Hope it helps. Kind regards. Pat
