NYC help A recommendation please for a great ILADS or LLMD Lyme Doctor

Hello,

I was bitten by a tick at Stonebarnes Farm in July. I was treated with 3 antibiotics for 2 months
but I can feel that I still have Lyme. I asked Stonebarnes what co infections do their ticks carry.
They said they couldn't give medical advice. I'm to receive a great recommendation for a Lyme
doctor in Manhattan. The doctor I used in NYC was a psychologist. I think she did as much as she
could and now I need someone who truly specialized in Lyme. She said she was surprised to see that
hit me so hard but now that I've done more research I'm thinking because of my mercury fillings and
an breast implant that was leaking for several months, although removed a year before must've had
mold. I wanted to get pregnant at 45 but now with Lyme, I don't think it will be possible. Really
bummed!!! So i'm really looking to find a great doctor in NYC. Please please help. If he/she were
to take insurance that would be heaven sent but I won't be holding my breath. Either way, I need to
see one as I would like to get tested for parasites as well and fungal infection.

NYCLyme - I doubt if a farm would know what co-infections the ticks have.

...and if they tested some - that doesn't mean all the ticks on their farm have the same infections.

she is a neuro-lyme specialist in NYC. Her bio says that she deals with complex cases. I don't know if your case is complex

Actually no we shouldn't post doctors info. Please see below posted by Traveler moments ago on another thread.

And please no longer post the contact information for this doctor. We need to protect them, not put their names and contact information out on forums and other public places.

Our doctors are being persecuted. They are being turned into the medical board of their state for not following IDSA treatment standards. Some loose their license right away, some have to have a monitor to approve every script and every thing the do for each patient (costing the LLMD $$$$), and others have to close up and move out of state to stop the harassment. By posting their names in public forums, you are helping to shut them down, even if it's unintentional. We have only a precious few that are brave enough to put everything they have on the line and help us.

Girlie, I thought maybe they would know the majority of co infections their ticks carry. But nope, didn't get answer. I love this farm and the people who work it. It's so upsetting these ticks are multiplying. For some reason I'm more upset about that then what's happened to me. If we don't find a way to kill these ticks we're doomed.

Olympiannyc, I would love to check out Dr. F. Any help would be more than appreciated.

Krimpet, I agree with everything you said and it's terrible and unbelievable. Ironically I saw the Lyme documentary, Under Our Skin a month before I got bitten so I knew how serious it was to get help immediately.
I went to urgent care and I had a good experience where the doctor gave me I think 3 pills of Doxy to last me a week. I took them all in one shot at his office. Then when my wrist and hand couldn't move without severe pain I went back to urgent care and had a terrible doctor who basically mocked me. I don't remember being so angry and I ended up crying while telling him how uneducated he was and how he needs to see the Lyme movie. I'm feeling hopeful now and believe the system will change. It has to. I feel terribly awful for all the docs that lost so much money, their practice, etc. Sorry for the rant but once I learned doctors are getting hurt for helping their patients and thinking outside of the box it really ticked me off. Finally doctors who are actually doing research and experimenting with their patients permission. I don't see anything wrong with that. Corporations do that, don't they? Anyway, I'm grateful for this forum. Very grateful!
