I have started with a new Doc that finally is moving in a better direction, having been through standard care and 2 LLMD's. Surprising enough my new doc accepts BC/BS after I have already spent thousands in cash to those who refuse insurance.


Failed the VCS test miserably and after 11 blood tests my human leukocyte antigen test comes back

15-6-51 lyme
17-2/3-52 mold

also have a raging case of EBv.

Seems I am a genetic mess predisposed to a life of pain and misery without the proper treatment. So who here has had these tests, what was your treatment and how did it work?

I have the same 15-6-51. Shoemaker says we need cholestyramine to bind up lyme neurotoxins. I've chosen modified citrus pectin (a much weaker version). Currently only take 4 capsules, 1x a day. If I accidentally miss it I can't sleep. It never fails, sometimes I won't even know I missed it and I will wake up with insomnia then find my pills in my pocket that I forgot to take. Crazy how it must bind enough neurotoxin to allow me to sleep better. I do not get the same benefit from charcoal.

K07 thanks for sharing this. I wasn't interested in cholestyramine, so glad to see that there are some good options. I will have to note this for future reference. What brand do you use?

Navigator as far as the EBV, there are a number of choices. Coconut oil (e.g. Monolaurin, Lauricidin), lysine, Larrea leaf, antivirals

If you do a search, you will find a number of posts regarding EBV and Lyme.

The ideal way to keep EBV and all these critters in check is to have optimal immune system function. So incorporate immune boosting herbs, fruits, and foods.

k07 where can I get cholestyramine or the modified citrus pectin?? I couldnt find the cholestyramine on amazon

A prescription is needed for the cholestyramine.

oh I see, didn't know that, guess I will be calling my LLMD tomorrow.
When are you supposed to take it? Empty stomach? before or after antibiotics? Do you not eat until a few hours after?

I take the NOW brand of modified citrus pectin - 2 hrs away from meds & food. So usually around 3 pm.

If it's like other binders...it needs to be taken away from food, supplements, antibiotics.

Interesting on the cholestyramine, clearly it binds the bio toxins in the bile for removal before they are never endingly recycled into your body. My doc started me on proto-sitosterols and - Silymarin, Artichoke, and Turmeric Extracts

Yes, needs to be taken away from everything. Also, can cause diarrhea.

Any one care to share the results of their last EBv test and the date it was done?

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong. For those members who haven't been tested for biotoxicity why haven't you?

why? no access to a lyme literate Dr., have been spending my $ on treatment. Limited funds, limited resources.

I asked my LLND about testing for mold, heavy metals..but he didn't think it was necessary.

I think it's a choice we make...there are really so many tests a person can do....

Mold, heavy metals, cavitations (dental), MTHFR, babesia, bartonella, mycoplasma, Candida, EVB, vitamin, mineral deficiencies, hormonal issues, etc. etc.etc.

I have the HLA gene, so My LLMD just assumed that I had biotoxin illness. He put me on cholestyramine 1 tbs 4x/day and I was so toxic it made me herx badly. I read on TiredofLyme blog a great article on why you herx on cholestyramine. You need to also take a binder for the next dump of toxins that take the place of the ones that cholestyramine mops up. I started taking the MCP 30 mins after I took the cholestyramine and that fixed the herxing. I did that for about a month, taking it at 11, 3,8 pm or else I'd get neurosymptoms.

I'm not herxing at all these days, except some minor vibrating. I still do the MPC once a day and plan on doing it for a long time. I listened to a doctor on the recent Detox project podcasts and she said you need to take the MCP for 1-2 years minimum, to get rid of everything, especially if if you are working on biofilms, where the heavy metals are, etc.

As far as EBV, I had it chronic, my lymph nodes huge for 5+ years. I got an LDI shot for EBV and my lymph nodes cleared in a week. Don't seem to have it anymore.
