Taking a break from abx. Need to regroup

My body can't handle the abx anymore. It's exhausted. I want to quit all abx for a few weeks but in the mean time, I'd like to continue an aggressive treatment with herbals. Will this cause a negative reaction with the bugs and abx resistance? I have hit a plateau and feel like things need to be shaken up. Is this advised or do I continue the abx until complete?

I pulse tini, doxy, bicilin.

I don't think taking a break will cause resistance.



To shake things up, you can also change your antibiotics.

A break is good from time to time. When ever I did a few rounds of Coartem, my LLMD would have me stop all Rx ABX for the month duration. Coartem had a weird pulsing schedule and do two back to back rounds basically took 30 days. But usually I kept taking my other herbals and supplements.

According to dr horowitz there is no recorded incidence of antibiotic resistance with lyme disease

how long have you been treating?
it's good to have a break if your body needs it.

listen to your body. if it can handle the bug impact more than the abx impact than taking breaks makes sense. wasn't so for me but everyone is different.

I'm entering my 4th month of treatment. I will say that many symptoms have improved but a lot of nerve damage has been done and I'm just praying thins improve. Tinidazole doesn't help.

azerilA your nerve damage WILL improve. 4 months sounds like a long time but for many its just the beginning. you are making improvements symptom wise so the boat is moving in the right direction keep at it!
