This is a great test ..no doctor needed ...12 bugs ..very accurate ..ifbyou need a positve or coinfection id ..this is your huckleberry!

YES, ITS the only test thats proven 'for me' to have Lyme disease and Ehrliciosis. Ive had 2 Elisa, and 3 Igenix ALL negative or indeterminate, until now. I was told this is highly accurate as looks for the dna of the outer surface protein AND the flagellen. My outer surface protein a and b both were negative for the DNA which means I do not have a current infection...

Current infection of the early life stage of spirochetes that is, but I have the biotoxins, the flagellens(not sure if thats spelled correctly)?

According to this DNA test, and the MSH(melanocyte stimulating hormone) test, my chronic illness is caused by the damage that the cytokine firestorm has caused...

My LLND, says the focus isnt to eradicate the spirochetes but to calm the cytokine storm...aka inflammtion!

But, you also want to kill the spirochetes...or you'll continually have to calm the cytokine storm...no?

This DNA test is super awesome for 'The Lyme world' becausd IT PROVES there IS CHRONIC LYME disease causec by the flagellan!!!

How I understand it is that a negative DNA for the OSPa and OSP b means the spirochetes are dead, but theres still the biotoxins that which cause the cytokine firestorm...

Is the dna test similar to the pcr test that Igenex offers? checking for dna of bacteria in the urine and/or blood?

are all dna tests created equal?

I just had one done via Canadian lab - positive for bartonella - but it didn't say which one - henslae...or?

So, my take is if it's positive...you still have active infection...if it's negative...they may not have had any of the dna in that particular sample.

Unlike the WB, where you can test positive, even after you're in remission due to your body still producing antibodies.....

Does anyone know how much it costs for Lyme panel? Would love to test for coinfections for my myself and my kids without having to do another blood draw.

I am new. I was tested at fam do for Lyme & it was negative. I have all symptoms of lyme ms etc etc but still all shows normal. I have been sick now since 2011 & every year I'm worse. Could my tests be a false negative? I'm so over the top disgusted I know something is wrong but what is it? I hate docs I'm sensitive to drugs so I'm not looking for pain meds! I'm very down..I want my 45 year old life. Not this 90 yr old life. Any one relate?

Yes, Teenaween - your results could be a false negative....that happens often..unfortunately.

Do you have a copy of your test results? Because, often - even if the results are negative, there may be some indications that you possible have lyme...positive lyme specific bands.
If you have them, you could share on here...and we could help you determine if the results show anything indicating lyme.


You should consider getting the Lyme Western Blot IgM and IgG test from Igenex done.
You can order the test kit, and have a Dr. sign the lab req. Then go to a lab for the blood draw and send to Igenex.

You also should consider seeing a LLMD - a specialist for diagnosing and treating lyme disease...have an evaluation done.

MS, ALS are some misdiagnoses - that can be lyme disease.

Lyme bug -5 Benjamin$...

mc spike - gfields had a utoob vid where the lady proved that whether infecred by osp a in vaccine or in tick symptoms were the same ..

i know the outersurface protiens caused a vasculitis in me ..however i still see active spirochetes in my microscopy...lets have discussion on other thread abiut osp vs active infection...and leave this for dna connexions because it is a great test

Yes, DNA connexions IS A GREAT TEST-its the one I did. It was $425 for the Lyme panel and co-infections. My LLND, who is a microbiologist, interpreted the test results due to her knowledgable training!

anyone know if insurance will cover this? insurance companies typically need a diagnosis and CPT code.
