The appendix is in that area, as well as part of the colon - but I wouldn't think it would be a pulsing pain...

The pain is lower right abdomen, lower then belly button. I don't think liver pain would radiate that far, no?

This is usually a very sharp pain when it's really super serious though. I had to have my appendix removed, as it had started leaking by the time I went in. Be sure your doc checks it out though, as it could be the beginnings of an issue.

I too still get pains in that area, but I know my intestines are a mess. Most of my pains are in the lower left section of my abdomen and I know that I'm setting up for troubles when the pain starts in my lower right. But I deal with serious intestinal cramping that can go on - without a break - for up to 3 days.

Lyme messes with the vagus nerve, which is the longest nerve in the body, as it starts in the brain, branches out in the face, throat, stomach and intestines. When it's being demylenated, it can create pains that have no reason, uncoordinated muscle contractions (creating the cramping/constipation I get), and other issues. But, it's always good to rule out the dangerous stuff!

But it could be, depending on the pain - and it's never safe to ignore pain that may be near vital organs or organs that can burst in our abdomens.

Random pains can be watched, but if a pain keeps returning, it's time to check it out when it's in your abdomen. I've had to have my appendix and my gall bladder removed, and both of them were leaking by the time I got into surgery. Had they burst, I would have been dealing with peritonitis - which becomes life threatening very quickly. I've learned the hard way to not ignore repeating or serious pains in my abdomen.

I agree traveler. Intensity is important also. If it never gets better or gets more intense go to doc asap

Yes. Intensity. The pain is in the lower right quadrant and you feel like you can't breathe. More intense than childbirth. I had a couple of attacks a few months prior to my appendix rupturing. I went to the hospital on an emergency basis when the pain became unbearable. An ultrasound was performed and they sent me home with the advice to see my gynecologist ASAP. A few hours later, I collapsed and was rushed to a different hospital where they scanned me and rushed me into the OR for an emergency appendectomy. I had temporary blindness at that point as well. I asked the surgeon why appendectomies seem to always be on an emergency basis. He replied that they are a difficult call to make and that when they rupture it is a given and the fear of a lawsuit dissipates.

The surgery was a success and upon my follow-up appointment, I was informed that the scan had detected a tumor in my uterus. It was small. Thanks to my appendix rupturing, I was spared a worse fate in regards to the tumor. That surgery went well also. The first hospital missed the appendix but they were spot on about seeing a gyno. Upon my follow-up for my second surgery, I was informed about the cyst on one of my ovaries hahahahahahahahahahah

From my experience, there can be some pre-appendix attacks before the big one.

OK so I went to the er today for this pain n burning. Turns out my lymph system is backed up. So I need to drain asap. Kidneys, colon and appendix are ok. A whole iv bag helped a lot. Yes I do drink lots of water which is why I have had relief before.

I live with this for 8years. Doc says, maybe ibs... I do not think so. I have also yersinia positive test, probably this coinfection causes it
