What fun things will you do when Lyme is in remission?

It's dreary and raining where I am. We have a new president. Lots of us are hurting this week and a full moon is coming soon.

Let's lighten it up. What fun things will you do when your Lyme is in remission?

Man, what wouldn't I do? For sure, I would be working out and playing sports again ... and doing dog sports I cannot do right now, like agility!

Dog sports? What type of dog do you have? Do you do dog training? FUN!

I would TRAVEL. Exercise, travel, resume my long walks and weight training, have a glass of wine and a cup of coffee (not at the same time), hike, bike. Return to the scene of the crime (nature). Go out at night and stay up past 10:00pm!

We have 3 rescue dogs. A very lazy Australian Shepherd/Husky mix, an Australian Cattle Dog and the youngest is a pure Australian Shepherd. the Aussie does agility, nose work and sheep herding ... we aare working on dock diving also, and he has his novice trick title. The cattle dog does nose work and sheep herding, and the 3rd dog likes to nap with me, hahahahahahahahaha

wine/coffee together.... yeah i wouldn't try that :)

Basketball, Lift weights, sports, hobbies, more sports, travel, soccer, sleep on my sides, more sports, tennis, gym, swim. Spend quality time with my significant other without being in pain 24/7.

Yes, a date night where I am fun and normal.

Why do I get the feeling most of us are outdoorsy, sporty and love animals.

Love the sheep herding pups. So cute. Also love watching dock dogs. There are fairs a few times a year that have the dog drills. I want to put our dog in the competition just for fun.

What is remission? 100% symptom free? You can start doing fun stuff again even before 100%.

Starting working out again and boy am I out of shape lol.

But I'm going to travel more. I've physically bounced back but my bank account still needs to bounce back. Treating lyme is not cheap.

You sound like you are doing great. Also lucky you have no cos?

Did you catch your bite right away?

I am so inspired to hear you say you are working out again. That is my goal. it really is. Exercise makes me feel normal. Yes we are all pretty out of shape with lyme. I used to have very muscular arms and they are getting mushy. Don't care just want health.

LOL at the bank account bounce back. Oh the trips we all could have taken with our lyme dollars. Ugh.

I haven't been in full remission for over 12 years, to where I could work. One of my long time dreams is to have a Tex Mex Restaurant.
I couldn't begin to handle that now at 65, but if I did go into remission like before, I am thinking I'd like to do a Chili house. Mostly carry out with a few tables, depending on where my location is. Everything would be chili related. Not sure what I'd do in the summer, if it drops in popularity. I'd want to be free to do whatever anyway, so I might close until the school year starts again.

If I don't do that, I have so many projects here at home to tackle, plus play with my miniature horses.

It takes such a special person to have Aussies. They are so intelligent and are unhappy in the wrong hands.

I could never do agility with my dog. She weighs 3.7 pounds and herds me to bed every day. She jumps up onto my leg and barks while running towards the bedroom. Hahahahaha. Love her so much.

If we ever did agility, it would consist of other dogs being agile enough to step over and around her. She is a great protector. She can hear a mouse breathe and alert us to a car two minutes before it arrives down the lane.

I would go to the ocean. Miss it like crazy. Visit and spend time with friends who i miss dearly here and in other states. Go dancing and take dance classes. Learn how to surf! Participate in church and other spiritual things again

The pool was the first place I went to after regaining my mobility enough to fake my way past the sign in desk towards the pool area. It is a great way to rebuild muscle tone and regain flexibility. I will never ride again though. A fall would do me in. Sad to give it up. I used to be a side walker at the hippo therapy classes in my area. I can now so relate to the participants.

Last year i really thought i was going to die ...i have been knocking stuff off my bucket list since, irrelevant of how i feel ...so far i have taken a ride the worlds longest tram ,visited the scene of the crime, saw a musical ,saw the beach ,

i wanna make a documentary ,market some inventions ,start a website for activism about lyme , really ambitious is get funding for a lyme center (, its a old hotel converted with iv room ,apothecary ,apitherapy ,rife ,mhbot , photons , and a organic cafe incorperating ..detox sauna , parasite cleansing etc etc)

I want to not die so i can take a cruise , go listen to jazz in nawleans, get more time with my 4 yo . Help others and get back to work ....im going to work on my certification as a herbalist ...and and and

Good for you dacarte3. Hope your travel wishes come true sooner rather than later and that your health improves and holds steady.

I want to go to Hawaii. My husband and I were married there...and this past May was our 25th Anniversary...and we wanted to go there to celebrate...but I just couldn't see spending the money...and then having bad days there...just not well enough to go.


We also want to go to NY City....and the South of France.

I want to just feel 'free' to pick up and go - and not have that apprehension in the back of my mind...that I won't feel well.....etc.

I just want that carefree feeling.


oh...and play tennis and bike ride in the summer.

I used to play with my grandson IN those huge kids jungle gym places-I mean I'D ACTUALLY crawl and climb INSIDE it. I'm a 'small' grandma as my grandson says, "LIke a hobbit"! That's why I was allowed to go in. Well, he's 9, almost 10, and just likes video games now, but soon I'll have a 2nd grandchild!!!!

I hope and pray I won't miss out on being an active grandmother w/the next one!!!

After I am symptom free for two months I am going to spend several more repairing my flora, finishing off any yeast, supporting my immune system, detoxing liver/kidneys/et al, then I am going to get really really drunk.

I would start running again, go into NYC to museums, plays, etc, go to the movies, get promoted at work (because I'd really be able to handle more responsibility, etc), go meet my niece for the first time (she's 1 1/2yrs but lives 6 hrs away), read, and get another dog or pet. It would be nice to not have to curtail activity for fear of not being able to move or function the next day.

I would love to teach my dog agility; he would love it.

I have a rescue - I've been told he could be Australian Shepherd or Spaniel. But if you google Border Collie/Flat Coat Retriever mix or Black Golden Retriever, that is exactly what he looks like. I absolutely adore him; he has such a personality. The Border Collie in him makes him a little bossy but the Lab/Retriever side makes him a sweetheart. He's like the mayor of our block...has to meet all the people and dogs or else he cries. He watches kids walk to school and will try to follow them when they aren't looking; as soon as they see him following, he turns and runs away. It's cute.

Before lyme took over my life I was an avid mountain climber and hiker.
So I would climb my mountain.

I'm sorry but this tread made me feel sad. It just reminds of all things we cannot do anymore.

Hang in there! You will climb those mountains again. You've just gotta get over this one first...
