Guys....please consider .this combo is effective imo for the babs/and or bart.

Even I am having difficulty as the die off/herx from my heart and digestive system.

As for me, i can for now reocmmend herbal tea form(that's what i'm using)

And I usually never have die off but this is getting the job done.

This is the real deal!

Sida Acuta Houtuynnia Cordata. I'm doing herbal tea form...you can buy bulk leaves!!!

.I'm getting major herx where I needed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chronic tonic i'm doing as well...but the entire chronic tonic mix doesn't compare to how much herx these 2 have caused me.

Please consider this!

I had to STOP all herbs for a few days..im not going to lie....just to recover...I had major symptoms that were installing fear of keep going...plus i had to not be sick for work!


herx since adding: SHARP heart pain, heart pain while lying/ anxiety increase/ pain in lower right quadrant of abdomen/brain deranged feeling/spacey feeling or sort/loss of connection with mind feeling/pain in lower right quadrant.

oh yes...im gonig to start up again and see how it goes...

START LOW AND SLOW WITH THESE TWO!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I use the tea and add Teasal Root Tincture every day. I don't herx and it keeps my soles of my feet from burning. If I miss a day or two my feet are on fire. I think it works too.

hmm i might have to look into Sida then. I have Houtt but use it alongside Andro/Crypto/JK/CC
I do get head symptoms and right quadrant pain and of course stinging heart pain.
lymedrive, just our of curiosity how many times do you take the tea in a day? And where do you order the herbs from?

Started hooty tincure from nutramedix ..its kinda weak sauce ..
my apothicary has leaves ..gunna try woodland essence ...is this and rigampin too much? ..i hate bart soooo much ...gunna try the decalcification with ala, oil of oregano and silver with quina and drangons blood ,chanca piendra ,msm etc etc ...

I did hootuynia with Rifampin - along with sida...I think I did anyway.

For any new lyme patients out there that may be reading this - please note that herxing is not a goal.

In layman’s terms, a person with chronic Lyme Disease who is experiencing a Herxheimer Reaction has recently killed an amount of Lyme bacteria worthy of causing them to enter a debilitating physical and mental state in which their already present symptoms become exacerbated.

This should never be a goal or something you wish to attain. You have put your health at risk and it can be dangerous.

Having said that for anyone new, lymedriven I am not coming down on you and I definitely am one that feels a lyme patient gets to be in charge of their treatment. I just have to put that out there to protect our new people that could interpret your post as what they should strive for.

And I say to them, please read up on the Herxheimer Reaction or ask questions. Trying to attain a huge herx is not a part of the treatment for lyme.

why dont u guys do the Buhner bart protocol ? it has bart killing herbs but also detox and protection for heart and blood vessels. dont take just the bart killers, u're gonna suffer more than u need.

i did the following tinctures, for 6 months, all at once:
- Houttuynia (nutramedix)
- CSA (HerbalLymeSolutions) - i got this because it had sida + alchornea
- Hawthorn (eclectic institute)
- Red root (eclectic institute)
- Rhodiola (Nature's Answer)
- Teasel root (eclectic institute)

+

the regular treatment for the lyme stuff.

Great info share. Yes, echoing PeteZa, herxing isn't the goal, but I do appreciate when I do, because I know it is getting something. I think the healthier route overall is to take it a lot slower than I have. If the herxing is really gnarly, taper back and up the detox is what I know now what I wish I'd known before. I think because I don't have an LLMD or a GP that is lyme literate the herxes I've had were little signs I was on the right track.

I added sida tincture 1:5 25% 1/2 tsp 3xday 3 weeks ago and I do not feel anything specific.
I get the right side mid to lower torso pain in some days but that maybe from the anti-parasitic mix I am also taking (artemisia, black walnut powder, clover, olive leaf), the other lyme herbs are less likely but who knows.
Also some days I have headaches, other days kidney but these and others just come and go and are not anything big.
I also started AC this week so ... it gets complicated.
I can't remember anything major that would resemble a bad herx.

This is why we encourage every member to start slow and go low (with doses and build up slowly). Herxing can hold back healing.

I'm glad you stopped the herbs for a few days - increase your detoxing though, please!! This will stop the herxing (by removing more toxins) and you can get back into treatment again. But - remember, to start off on a lower dose than you were herxing on and build up from there to avoid further herxing (and a ton of frustration!!).

I do Sida 1/3tsp 3x/day and Houttinyia 1/4tsp 3x/day and it does very little for me if anything (i have lyme, babs, bart). Goes to show you everyone is different ;) I think I'm going to up both to 1/2tsp 3x/day and see if I can induce a reaction.

i didn't get it from nutramedix.

That is how we are supposed to do things to find our personal optimal dose of an herb...increase to the dose that causes a reaction and back down to the dose before that.

The recommended doses listed in Buhner's books are just that: recommendations - each of us has to find his/her most effective dose.

Thanks! and yes...im focusing more on that..and it's a great recommendation because it's one i overlooked or just didn't pay too much attention too. But now i'm doing planning it out to do a lot of detoxing!

great advice. i think it really does make a huge difference.

germans use a lot of teasel root in their treatment for lyme, i was surprised to find out there are research articles about this specific herb and lyme:

Teasel MAY be helpful, but not to everyone. Here is what Buhner says about it:

"I would urge you to try both Japanese knotweed and stephania as well as cat’s claw. Teasel root does generally help with arthritic inflammations; it sometimes helps those with the disease itself though from my experience this is pretty hit and miss. Some people do respond to low dose teasel tincture, many do not. I generally start people off at the 3 drop dosage but if after a week there is no improvement I up the dose and continue to do so for a month or so. My preferred dosages for most herbs are high and I think that up to 1 tsp of teasel 3x daily is fine for most people and often the higher dose is necessary."
