I am doing super well now. Back to my ornery self. But, hubby has lyme now. It is not easy to watch.

july, I figured Dr. M was the doc in sac. he is the only one in sac. The one up higher here in the mountains is new and takes insurance (well he did when I went there last year) and is super inexpensive. He charges like a regular doctor visit, NOT $350.

Sad because another member I had contact Dr. S said that he will not take chronic patients.......

Very unfortunate for our area.

There is also a doctor closer to Tahoe. I have not been to him, but a girlfriend went to him for chronic fatigue and boy was he thorough and he sounds amazing. I am hoping to hear back from anyone contacting him to see if he is taking lyme patients.

I just wrote a person I know that was going to contact the doc in Tahoe and ask about lyme. If I hear back from that person, I will relay the information to you.

We have just snain - snow/rain. They said it would snow down to 2,000 feet - they goofed again!!

Lol my elevation is 5000 ft. Definately snow here but not much. And they said it's going to turn to rain tommorow and snow level will raise to 8000ft. Hopefully we get a winter this year. I moved up here because I love snow and haven't seen much in the last few years. I have a cabin in nevada city and I have seen more snow there when I was a kid and that's only at around 3200 ft.

I'm about 4,000 feet on hwy 80. I don't put my town on this forum because it is so small anyone could find me with just a little effort. And this forum is seen by many. Same reason we don't use our real names.

I grew up in Susanville, eons ago before Walmart and stop lights were there. I worked in Grass Valley for 25 years. Briarpatch is my favorite store and Nevada City??? Is there anything not to like about that town? It is like stepping back in time, well, the buildings are. The people are pretty hip.

I love Quincy. All our mountain towns are quaint.

I'm not in California, but I got some snow light snow tonight, our first this season. (Missouri)

Suffering and PeteZa, do you have shortness of breath from a combo of the Lyme and the altitude? I guess your bodies are used to the thinner 'air'.

Julymorning, sometimes I do get shortness of breath. Also when I am feeling really bad I catch myself holding my breath even though I don't mean to.

July I have lived at the 4,000 foot level for 28 years consistently. I have ridden my bike at the 6,500 foot level and I will struggle with breathing. But, when I go to the ocean which is 0 elevation, I can ride all day and not be winded at all.

Many athletes train at high elevation so when they go lower they feel so much more stronger. Denver, Colorado is a great training town as it is the mile high city.

As for having lyme and being here, well, this altitude is normal for me and I don't think it really came into play at all.
