The good thing with herbs is most of them are in a form you can start with a smaller dose. For instance if it's in liquid form like the tinctures, you can start them at one single drop at a time. And start with one herb.
If you're supposed to take it 2X or 3X a day, take a one drop each time. See how that goes, and if you're ok, add in a second drop to each dose on day 3 or 4, depending on the herb, because some are more potent than others, and some are less supportive and more antibacterial. You increase your dosage every few days (because sometimes it takes 3 days to get a negative reaction if you're going to get one.
Add another herb maybe once a week, or as soon as you know how your current herb is affecting you....
While you are doing that, you should have already started a de-tox regime. These are things that you can do to help your system eliminate the toxins that are being dumped in you from die off and everything else, that may overload your body's natural ability to eliminate it. That is what usually makes us feel so horrible. All that toxic waste in us.
Here is a link to de-toxing:
www.tiredoflyme.com/detox-methods.htmlThe problem with the start low and build up method is if you're taking one of the combo herbs, because while you can lower your dosage to start, you really have no idea what your herx reaction is actually from.
So yes, let us know what you're taking and we can try to help you minimize the herx reactions.
Make sure you're also taking a good probiotic, because even though you're no longer on abx, your stomach could still use the boost.
And try not to stress, which I know is difficult. I think stress is the absolute worst enemy for us trying to get well.
